    Rassie and I, as well as the kids, had a wonderful time. This place is so warm and inviting and in the best location. Not far from town and yet you get a real feeling of solitude from being up on the mountain. Oh, we sure wish we could be at Shadow Wood for Christmas. Thank you for your generosity and providing us with the time to spend with our family. We love you guys.

    My wife and I stayed here on our 1year anniversary and had a really great time. The cabin is really nice with plenty of room. The hot tub was exceptionally nice after a long walk through Gatlinburg. The cabin was only about a 15 minute drive to the main strip in pigeon forge which was really good!! So, this place is really clean and I highly recommend staying here whether its a family vacation or just a couples getaway!!"

    Hey Kathy, just wanted to let you know our stay at your cabin was wonderful! My husband and sons played pool every time we got still. We spent more time at the cabin this trip than we usually do, and we enjoyed that. We enjoyed the hot tub late on Saturday night and got a surprise visit from a good size raccoon that wanted to visit the garbage can. Being avid hunters my family really enjoyed the visit and just watching him watch us as he went back and forth down into the can. The cabin is lovely and very comfortable. The beds slept really well, and I had everything I needed to cook breakfast each morning. Thank you so much for everything.

    The cabin was more than we expected. It was very clean, roomy and had all the conveniences of home. The gameroom was awesome, when it was raining and we were unable to explore the National Park the gameroom kept everyone entertained for hours. The cabin was the perfect location, private but conveniently located to all the major attractions in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the National Park. We will definitely reommend the cabin to our freinds and family. Two thumbs up !!

    Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

    My family and I felt right at home. The kids asked why we couldn't move to the cabin?? ;-) When arrived the road was covered with snow. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Everything we needed and more was available. The views are unbelievable. The rental process was great. The owners are very lovely. They provide you with information ahead of activities to plan for. Being in the cabin was very peaceful. There are not words to express how wonderful it was to stay there. We can't wait to return and escape from the real world. Thank you

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

    We had a lovely stay at Shadow Wood the first of April. Arrived to sunshine and trees budding! Everything in the cabin was fantastic, just as portrayed on the website. The cabin is more secluded than most in the area and has everything you need for your time away from home. The kids loved the games in the basement and the hot tub! The quick drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is beautiful. It was great to come home to such a quiet cabin after being in the busy towns. Thanks for letting us stay at your special place! It was so daunting trying to pick a place online with all of the options out there... I am soooo glad we found Shadow Woods, it was just what we needed!

    Spent Valentine's Day at Greg and Kathy's cabin. Everything listed on the internet and told to me by Greg was accurate. The cabin is private, but close to the road. Very easy to find and the roads were very good. We had have a very lovely time. We watched Sleepless in Seattle and ate chocolate covered strawberries from the "Candy Kitchen" in Pigeon Forge. The gas fireplace kept us toasty. We hope to bring the family back soon. Blessings, Nancy & William

    Very secluded and romantic cabin. Away from the city.Cabin is beatiful inside and the pictures are a extra touch.Relaxing in the hot tub after hiking was wonderful.

    The cabin was just as it was described on the website. We enjoyed the privacy of the cabin. It was also very close to the entrance to the national park. Our family really enjoyed our stay! The hot tub was a hit with everyone. Our boys enjoyed the game room, too. It was a wonderful vacation!

    The perfect accomodations for our family vacation. The cabin is warm and homey. The homeowner's photography that graces the walls of the cabin is absolutely breathtaking. Lots of room to spread out, relax, read, play, whatever your pleasure. The cabin is perfectly located: close to the national park and the attratctions of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but far away enough from the crowds to feel like you are the only one on the mountain. We had a wonderful vacation and certainly would return.

    As always Kathy and I want to say Thank You to all of our guests. In our effort to make Shadow Wood the destination you always want to come back to, we are continually making some improvements. On February 29, 2008 we purchased and installed a new air hockey game in the gameroom. Please enjoy it and make sure you leave it in good condition for others that will follow.     We had a wonderful Spring Break vaction at Shadow Wood. Our 2 year old is still asking to "go to my cabin"! We loved the secluded area so much better than having a cabin right next door - and, of course, better than a hotel room! Convenient location to town, Smoky Mountains, etc. Our four kids (9 & under) enjoyed the air hockey table, checkers and Yahtzee games (wonderful for the two rainy days). The large kitchen table was great for our family. We slept extremely well too, the mattresses were very nice quality. The bunk beds made it almost like home! Nightlights were in bathrooms - very nice for kids. They had two baskets that were great for picnics. Only thing I noticed missing was the cooler, a timer for cooking purposes & an ice cream scoop! Everything else was perfect! Loved all the framed photographs throughout the cabin! Very talented photgrapher! The owners sent a great package of info on various spots - it was very helpful, along with the hiking books in the cabin! We would recommend this cabin to those looking for a quiet, peaceful, roomy vacation spot. Thank you, Greg & Kathy, for sharing your home with us.

    We have visited this wonderful log cabin the past 4 out of 6 years. This has to be one of the closest places to heaven you could visit. Our 3 sons enjoy the game room and my husband and I love just sitting on the deck enjoying the peace. It is a convenient distance to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and all our favorite "Cades Cove". We love to count the deer, picnic, and hopefully see a bear or two. Thanks so much Kathy and Greg for sharing your piece of heaven.

    This was our second stay at the cabin, and like the first, we enjoyed it! Everything was in order and ready for use. We always enjoy the quiet, peaceful surroundings and all the ammenities the cabin has to offer. We will definitely be back for a third go round!

    Greg & Kathy, Randy and I have stayed 4 times in your cabin and I can not wait to get back. Actually, I never want to leave. This is truly part of Gods country. We hope to stay again this year and bring the kids this time. They need to see what we rave about.

    My wife and I had a great 10 year anniversary at the cabin. It was wonderful waking up and sitting on the deck and listening to the sounds on the mountain. It was the best vacation we had. Great location too!

    In June 2005 Kathy and I made more improvements to our cabin. The cabin was completely washed down and the logs restained. Also new furniture was added. We wanted everyone that has previously rented our cabin to return to a fresh new look and for our newcomers a more attractive appeal to the cabin. Thanks to all of you.

    In order to provide our guests with the best possible service, in June 2004 we added city water to our cabin and installed a new hot tub. We are the only cabin in Dogwood Farms with city water.
