We stayed 9 days with family over the holiday period. We were very happy with the reception and help by both Flavio and Antonella which made our holiday everything it was meant to be. Flavio arranged our transportation from the airport with Tullio and he was there waiting for us and was very helpful and friendly. Flavio then met us out at the street to help with the luggage. We were situated not far from the St. Peters approx. a 15 minute walk. There were many nice restaurants in our residential area and good shopping as well closer to St. Peters. The apartment was a 2 bedroom fairly basic furnishings but the beds in the bedooms were very firm and low to the ground, the sofa bed in the living room was fine as well. . My family (all adults) thought it was great and cosy. The balcony is a complete wrap around and well used by us even in January. The water pressure in one of the washrooms was low at times as well as hot water somtimes iffy. The bathrooms were dated but spotless. Antonella came by every evening between 6pm - 8pm and dropped off your choice of coffee - instant for those who would prefer american coffee and espresso coffee for the two coffee makers. We made espresso coffee with hot milk (cafe latte) every morning, Antonella also brought the milk and two different juices, cookies and pastries, Nutella, jams and bread for the toaster. The kitchen is well equipped and very bright as well as the dining room. Table for 6 but can extend. Flavio and Antonella are always available to help and printed up our boarding passes and helped with transportation upon our departure as we were 6 adults leaving at three different times. All in all we loved our apartment...and the owners!!

Our first time in Rome and we were SO HAPPY we found this wonderful Penthouse apartment on HomeAway to stay at. The indoor living spaces were wonderful and the 2 bedrooms allowed plenty of privacy for both ourselves and our 16 year old daughter. The kitchen and living room were great to relax in and the outdoor wraparound patio/deck was AWESOME and even in August, cooled off enough at night to relax outside it was wonderful! Loved the fact that I could do laundry and leave it out to dry outside during the day. Flavio and his Mom were the best! They provided breakfast the night before and were so friendly and helpful. We were able to walk to the Vatican which was a huge plus. Couldn't think of a better place to come home to relax in, after a crazy day of touring. If we come back to Rome again - which we would love to - we would defnitely stay here again. Thanks again Flavio! ~ Nancy, Steve and Shannon from New York

Our family of 11 with children ranging from 10 to 17 had a wonderful experience at Flavio's property. He was so helpful in communicating with us before we got there and while we were there he and his lovely mother answered all our questions and concerns. The listing description was accurate and the property was very clean. We were able to walk to the Vatican and the views from the terrace of Rome and the Vatican were spectacular. We ate on the terrace and had a wonderful time. We would highly recommend this property for families or anyone wanting to be close to the city. ma

Recently stayed at the penthouse with family and everything was just as described. The owner and his mother were extremely accomodating with everything we needed. We were looking for something close to the Vatican, and this unit was about a 15-20 minute walk which was close enough. Would definitely recommend!!

My friend and I stayed here for 5 days in June. It was everything we had hoped for, and more. We took a taxi from the airport and Flavio met us at the front entrance of his building. He showed us around the beautiful apartment and explained everything and answered all of our questions. The apartment also has some very good guide books so there was lots of information on hand. The wrap-around terrace is huge and has great lounge chairs and also a table and chairs so we could eat outside or sip wine while relaxing and enjoying the view after a full day of sight-seeing and shopping. We really appreciated the fact that there was a land-line phone in the apartment for local calls as we did not bring a mobile phone with us. Everything we needed was there and the apartment was very clean and beautifully furnished. There are restaurants and grocery stores within easy walking distance, including a good one right across the street. It's a nice nice area and we felt safe. We took the bus to get to many sites and it was very easy to get around. No need for a car here. Flavio and his Mother are very warm and friendly people and made us feel very much at home. I really look forward to staying here the next time I'm in Rome and would highly recommend it to my friends and relatives.

My wife and children found this to be a nice facility. The owner was always available to answer questions and help with directions and recommendations for eating and site seeing as well as the apartment was clean and well maintained. I would confidently recommend this apartment to friends or relatives.

The Panoramic penthouse was a lovely, well-appointed apartment in an authentic Roman neighborhood. There was plenty of room for three adults and one lively three year old. Every thing was in order, and the pictures and information provided was spot on. The deck offered beautiful views of the city, and space to put your feet up and relax after a busy day of roaming in Rome. The neighborhood is a bit off the beaten path, which we really appreciated. A 20 min walk and you're at the Vatican. There were a few restaurants nearby, and a grocery store down the block. The kitchen was well stocked (could have used a roll of paper towels, but we didn't think to ask). The bus stop right out front made it easy and convenient to get around town. On a rainy day, we were able to hail a taxi just down the street. Flavio and his mother were the most gracious of hosts. The breakfast provided was generous, and we really appreciated the bottles of water, milk, juice and coffee. I would recommend taking Flavio up on the offer to arrange transportation to the apartment upon arrival. I would recommend the Panoramic or any of Flavio's apartments for a relaxing respite in Rome. Ciao.
Owner response:than you very much for your lovely words from my and my mother. i hope we will see another time on Rome.

The apartment was clean and spacious with plenty of room for five. The wrap around deck was just as advertized and we enjoyed dinner on the well furnished deck each evening. It has a nice view of St. Peter's dome. The hosts were friendly and hospitable supplying breakfast goodies daily. Although the apartment did have air conditioning, one bedroom was not usable due to the lack of A/C and air flow. There is a small market, a pizza shop and a restaurant near by. Although not centrally located to many of Rome's tourist areas, a bus stop is just out front. The metro is a 15 minute walk.

When my brother and I wanted to visit Rome together with our families we weren't sure we would be able to find accommodations that met our requirements and was affordable. Two baths, beds for 7 or 8, an equipped kitchen, close to the Metro and shopping and the Vatican, etc. Casa Michelangelo more than met our expectations. Clean and well-equipped it is located in a very nice section of Rome, a pizza shop next door, walking distance from a supermarket, the Metro and the Vatican. We were able to attend Mass at St. Peter's and still have plenty of time for sightseeing. The evenings were relaxed without the formality and high cost of restaurants. This was our best reunion/vacation ever.
Owner response:thank you also we remember our kindly guest i'm very proud of your thought a great regards from Michelangelo Home

We are a family of five who stayed at Flavio's rental in Rome near the Vatican and St. Peter's. It was about a kilometer walk to the nearest metro but there is a bus line just outside the apartment. It was extremely clean, wonderful (sweet) breakfast, not hot. They provided bottled water, juices, tea and coffee, towels (including replacements), toilet paper, and offered to also change our linens if we so desired, (we stayed one week). Security was excellent, and even though we arrived very Late at night, Flavio met us with our keys, a Map and lots of info. free wifi is great, and the terrace is lovely. We were so comfortable and impressed with service. And we were able to secure our luggage on checkout day prior to our departure.
Owner response:thank you very much we have read with very pleasure your feedback, we are a lovely remember about your polite family

I first would like to thank Flavio and his mother for the fabulous hospitality and care during our stay; they treated us like family and we were sad to leave. We enjoyed the property so much we stayed a second time during this trip (first time 1 week) for a couple of days. The Michelangelo Penthouse is the perfect place to stay in Rome. It is a 20 minute casual walk to Vatican City and a short walk to the metro. The local restaurants (the pizza shop was excellent), supermarkets, and shops were excellent and all were within walking distance. We chose to walk to most of the sites in Rome but we also selected several tour options from just outside the Vatican City. The location of Michelangelo Penthouse was perfect and I would highly recommend it. The penthouse was immaculate and the location was quiet. After a long day of site seeing it was the perfect combination. This was a place we will never forget both for the location and for Flavio and his mother. We are definitely staying here again on our next visit to the glorious city. We wish Flavio and his mother all the best and we will see you again. We hope you will select the Michelangelo Penthouse for your stay in Rome.
Owner response:thank you very much i have read with very pleasure your though about us. i send it to my mother she will be happy .
