Our secluded location allows outdoor lovers to enjoy a natural setting among soaring trees, ferns and the West Millicoma River. The Yurt is located on a private 40 acre estate and includes an outdoor sitting area complete with a chiminea and firewood. Enjoy beautiful views of the Elliot State Forest as you relax next to your very own camp fire. Our rustic Yurt provides the perfect balance of natural living with elegance! The hardwood floors and wood burning stove add a special touch to enjoying nature at it's best!
Hike the beautiful onsite trails or venture off the beaten path and explore the myriad of hiking options in the surrounding area. If you have a horse there is a fenced pasture and you can ride the logging trails high enough to be filled with awe as you see the ocean far below the mountains. The river changes from very high in the winter to fairly low in the summer, and if you enjoy kayaking, The Yurt is the perfect home base for spring kayaking trips! If you're looking for quiet relaxation, The Yurt is a great choice. You can recharge while viewing the bountiful wildlife that live at the Ranch including the river otter that swims in the river at night, or the bald eagle that swoops down the river corridor periodically. Keep an eye out for the herd of elk that pass through the property or catch the deer grazing at night. If you want to leave the Ranch to sightsee, there are also many wonderful places to enjoy.
