The kitchen opens onto the dinning and living room area and perfect for relaxed cooking, entertaining and conversation. On the main floor you will find two bedrooms that share a full bath. There is also a half bath next to the kitchen. The upstairs master bedroom features beautiful natural light a private balcony overlooking the lake through a large picturesque patio door and is furnished with a queen bed, dresser, walk in closet, bathroom with view and shower.
Also on this level is a bedroom perfect for the younger set with four twin beds. On the lower level a large family room overlooks the lake with a private bar including mini refrigerator, microwave and sink. There is a large bedroom and full bath on this floor as well and a deck with stairs leading down to the lawn and lake. There is a studio over the boathouse with a queen bed and a half bath (no air-conditioning in the studio)

Year Purchased: 1980
We spent our careers in the electronics industry but much prefer to be on the water. We raised our family in Palo Alto and spent most weekends at the lake house. This was a great place to spend time with the kids away from the city. We did not have a TV and spent our time playing on the lake, reading books and playing games. The kids are grown and hard at work so we spend more time sailing. We decided it is a good time to share our fantastic retreat with other families.
Why the Owner Chose Lower Lake
My family has been vacationing in Lake County for 60 years. For many years we had a cabin at Cobb Mountain. We then bought land and built a family home on the lake. We chose Clearlake as it is closer to the Bay Area than other vacation spots in Northern California. As we are on the South end of the lake we are much closer to San Francisco than other spots around the lake. It was a 2 1/2 hour drive enabling us to spend most weekend enjoying the lake. Both summer and winter.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love our location on the lake. It is the perfect spot to enjoy nature. We have deer, wild turkeys, squirrels, bald eagles, herons, egrets, osprey, ducks, mink and lots of fish! We have spectacular views and wonderful sunsets. Our children also loved water skiing, boarding, tubing and cruising the lake in the boat and jet skis. We loved being in a rural area where we felt we were truly getting away from the city.
