The Drooly Bear is a secluded log cabin getaway in the woods. Just a few miles from Trough Creek State Park Headquarters, this rustic, romantic vacation destination will allow you to escape the rat race and enjoy each other, your family, and nature.

As you decompress on the deck, you'll enjoy the peace and quiet of the woods. If it's raining, enjoy the sound of the rain as it falls while you sit in the swing under the covered portion of the deck. If it's chilly, go inside and get cozy near the wood burning stove or play a game or two in The Loft.

Get your exercise by hiking the numerous trails in Trough Creek State Park or playing at Raystown Lake. Enjoy fine dining at Mimi's in Huntingdon (about 35 minutes away) or grab a sandwich at a local sandwich stop or country store.

  • Our family enjoyed a long week-end here. Although the weather did not allow for outdoor activities each day, we all appreciated the peace and quiet for reading and relaxing. We will keep this on our list for a return visit.

  • My family stayed at the Drooly Bear Cabin and I must admit this is a wonderful secluded location and the accommodations are well worth the price. The cabin is secluded, it will take you about 15 minutes to get to Lake Raystown Resort but we found it worth the drive for the environment that was provided. We will be return guests in the near future as this is a wonderful place to stay.
