A great place for families. We loved the heated pool, finding agates on the beach and exploring the tide pools. My friend found a bone on the beach that we think might be from the backbone of a whale. It was very short and thick. No time to check it out with the experts at the Hatfield Science Center in Newport. We looked for the eagle from the balcony but didn't see it this time. This is our favorite condo at the Inn. We try to come here several times a year and it is always a treat even when it is stormy. We are looking forward to next time! We recommend this property to friends and relatives (but please don't take it when we want to be here!) We recommend Tidal Raves in Depot Bay; their spinach lobster bisque and sea hawk bread are yummy.

Highlights for Noa were feeding spaghetti and sausage to the gulls & crows on the balcony railing and swimming in the pool. Eran & I both enjoyed the chance to get away and break the routine a bit. Weather was crazy - windy, rainy, sunny, cold, warm - but typical for the Oregon Coast. Made sand castles and dug 'wells' in the sand. Eran visited the seals on the north side of the Otter Crest beach. Saw very low tides so the red and orange starfish were visible clinging to the side of the rocks in the tidepools. What a great weekend! We were in the guest room side (two queen beds in unit 404).

Seafood & Wine Festival - Enjoyed our weekend at the coast. Survived the Great Tsunami! Tasted and enjoyed some great wines and the company of good friends. Good food was had by all. Did not see any otters this year. The views were, once again, wonderful. Very relaxing.

We enjoyed the views from the balcony on our short getaway from our everyday lives in Corvallis. It's amazing how much life slows down when you're only an hour away from home. The ocean always calms us. What a lovely spot to decompress & enjoy each others' company. Thanks!

Our first real vacation together. We saw as many beaches as possible and ate as much seafood as possible. The weather was perfect and the view incredible. We hope to be back.

Wonderful relaxing place to escape to. Foggy misty mornings, warm sunny afternoons, the lonesome cry of the seagulls, the gentle roar of the ocean to lull you to sleep, the smell of the fresh salty air. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to leave our day to day cares behind us, and discover one another. Thanks so much for sharing your home and your hospitality.

We came for the storm watching & cold weather & not a drop of rain in sight! We'll take the 52 degree & sunny though! It is already 80 degrees in Tucson. This trip was full of many pleasant surprises for us. We have habitually stayed in bldg A & were anxious to see what your 405 would bring... change is great! Such a different perspective - thank you for sharing your place with us. So much has changed here but thankfully so much is the same. We love it here... born & raised in Eugene and spent wonderful holidays & weekends here since the late 1960s. Can't be here as often as we'd like - hope to own some day. We bought a model boat at Inscapes (The Wood Gallery), saw the real fishing boat it was made after, met the crew, toured the boat, met the artist, met the original owner's family & learned all about the history, the industry, and how warm & friendly Newport is! Awesome! Mo's on Siletz Bay is still our favorite, was impressed with Kyllo's in Lincoln City (Roasted Hazelnut house salad was amazing!) We actually read! Wow; Oh - we blew out your microwave (scary, sorry!), cooked, ate & relaxed. It was awesome! Thank you, thank you!

Its 5 days till inauguration and its our first weekend away together so we were feeling pretty good. Arrived after dark. Could hear the ocean but couldn't see it. Imagine our delight when we woke up in the morning to the view from the balcony. Couldn't ask for a more perfect weekend in many ways, sun shining, low tide, hot tub at night... Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful place.

Our 1st family trip to Oregon, but my husband parents have been coming here since 1983. Our view is so beautiful & the air is so fresh & crisp. Weather has been great too. Kids loved the beach, tidepools, swimming pool. Tried "Tidal Raves" in Depoe Bay - was yummy. Parking is a bit difficult cuz alot of people want to eat there too, but the wait is worthwhile. Mo's small place (Otter Rock) was cute, but Öh Boy" their famous clam chowder was awesome, had to take some to go too. Hope to come back here soon. Thanks for the stay Verona & Larry. PS We are leaving the menu for "Tidal Raves" here in case anyone would like to try it too.

We walked all over the rocks and saw a ton of anemones. I found either a fossilized shark tooth or a bird claw! We ate at the Flying Dutchman and my parents said that it was the best food they'd had in a while! I had really good fettacini alfredo and my dad had their amazing prime rib. If you go there, try their key lime pie!!! Have fun! cuz we sure did!

Beautiful place. We only stayed one night. Walked on the beach and found a lot of blue shells and pretty agates. Watched the whales last night and this morning. There is a baby whale that stays between the shore and the big rock. Next time we'll stay a few more nights.

We have had a love affair with the Pacific. This wild and wily piece of magic on earth from long beach on Vancouver Island, British Columbia down to the shores of Crescent Beach, CA and Pistol Beach, Oregon. This is a lovely spot to add to our memories. A great dinner at the Flying Dutchman, beach combing treasures, a cozy fire and restful sleep. Thank you and bless your home! A refuge for weary, happy travellers.

A beautiful week with incredibly sunny weather here in 405. Water watching was great - not a lot of waves in N.M.! Enjoyed long walks on the beach, local coastal sightseeing & great meals at Tidal Ravves, Blackfish Cafe, especially the Bay House. This is our 4th trip back to the Inn at Otter Crest & we hope there will be many more. PS - We saw 3 bald eagles or maybe the same one 3 different times & locations!

My dear wife Marjorie's family owned and operated The Inn at Otter Rock during the late 1950's. She has very fond memories of her teen years here and brought me to this peaceful and yet dramatic place to share it with me. Rain, stong wind and two days of glorious sun along with meeting a delightful local person who was so kind to give us some sage advice. We'll returm if the good lord allows.

We came out to celebrate our belated anniversary (Aug) my husband's birthday and my 6th decade birthday. We have had a wonderful week with great weather (even when it is stormy.) We have stayed at Otter Crest 3 times now, June, August & October. We like the fall best. The beach was a gold mine for my beach combing - lots of rocks, shells and driftwood. We esp. liked our walk thru the woods to the Devil's Punch Bowl. Saw several whales while enjoying our meals. This has been a very memorable trip. We hope to return in a yr or so. There is a saying: "it's not how many breaths we take - but what takes our breath away." Otter Crest (esp. this condo) did take our breath away for 6 glorious days. Thank you so very much.

We came to Otter Rock for a 4 day retreat with an Impact Training group. We so enjoyed the beautiful scenery - beach, cliffs, ocean, animal & plant life and this amazing resort. The spiritual experiences I have been a part of were beautiful and incredible. The weather was great! The Inn @ otter Crest has been a true joy. The staff - bell hops, maids, & Flying Dutchman staff have all been fantastic. I know I will return to this beautiful place again.

My husband & I planned a weekend get-away from our 2 year old little boy to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We have enjoyed our stay here. The ocean view is breathtakig. What an incredile place to go on nature walks, explore the beach & tide pools, whale watch, (We saw a handful. Wish we would have packed our binoculars!) dine at the Flying Dutchman, and just relax. After being diagnosed 6 mo ago with cancer & just finishing chemo & radiation a month ago this was just what I needed to rejuvenate. I've learned thru my experience to appreciate the little things in life, enjoy the beauty of nature, and take time to spend with loved ones to create special memories. Live life to the fullest!! Thank you for sharing your condo with us. It was a slice of heaven. P.S. Weather was great.

Tidal Raves in Depoe Bay has a view of the ocean like 405, plus, great food like cioppino and halibut! It was a pleasure to celebrate our 48th anniversary here, as we have celebrated many such occasions in the past in 405! Many Thanks for Sharing Your Wonderful Condo!
