Located just three blocks from Schlitterbahn voted the best water park, next door to Texas Tubes where you and your family can conveniently rent tubes to float along the river, and minutes from picturesque downtown New Braunfels. Your family can also take in these attractions: the McKenna Children’s Museum, the Snake Farm, Landa Park, where you can see the natural spring that feeds the Comal River, golf at Landa Park Municipal Golf Course, or come cut the rug at Texas’ oldest dance hall Gruene Hall. Gruene is also famous for their fine dining, entertainment, and wine tasting, or shop the famous outlet malls Prime and Tanger with just a short 15 minute drive to San Marcos.
Serenity Retreat Private Home 405 is situated between Austin and San Antonio, there are numerous tourist attractions within a reasonable driving distance. If your vacation plans include a trip to San Antonio to visit Sea World, Fiesta Texas, the Riverwalk, Natural Bridge Caverns, or the Alamo, IH-35 is just a few minutes away, and a 45-minute drive to downtown San Antonio. Austin (the State capital of Texas) is known for its live music and exquisite restaurants and is a one hour drive.
This house will make you feel right at home and has all the amenities your family needs to make your stay comfortable and includes all the modern day conveniences such as: flat screen televisions, cable, and internet access and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials for your cooking needs. The house has a charcoal BBQ on the premises.
Serenity Retreat has also hosted weddings, family reunions, family vacations, spiritual retreats, and company functions and offers additional units available to rent. This beautiful house is located on the banks of the spring-fed Comal River, yet within walking distance (or blocks) of downtown New Braunfels, Schlitterbahn Water Park, Landa Park and the Guadalupe River. We nicknamed it "Infinity" because of its boundlessness. This is a great place to stay.

I had the pleasure of staying at Serenity Retreat in October and December of 2009, and found the entire experience relaxing, rejuvenating, and restful. The setting along the peaceful waters of the Comal River combined with the tall sycamore trees and lush flowers and vegetation inspire one to curl up and read a good book on the porch or jump in and float down the meandering river. This house is perfectly appointed with beautifully functional rooms decorated with lovely accessories and all the necessities of home. I highly recommend this delightful setting to anyone wanting to get away and forget the stress of daily life.
