Why the Owner Chose Montreal
It was a business decision. My firm has business interest in Montreal. When I first got the condo, I found myself traveling to Montreal quite frequently and staying for longer periods of time. Now, my business requires visits to the area on a monthly basis but only for a few days. It is more cost effective to maintain the condo than it is to pay $200 per night for a hotel.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Hotels in the general area of our Condo are located in downtown, as well as the Old Montreal area. If you can find one, at peak seasons or special events, hotels in the area can be in excess of $200 per night. We like our place because its conveniently located in the same area but just across the bridge. Therefore, the apartment looks back toward Montreal and is only 10 minutes away. Generally speaking one can stay at our place with all the convenience for half the cost--stay in a hotel for 3 days and with the tax added you basically stay in our place for the whole week for about the same price as a 3 day stay in area hotels. Another plus, is that Nun's Island is a friendly family environment. There is a great place to run at the end of your business day.

I am an executive from the US with business in Montreal. I maintain the condo in order to eliminate the need to find a motel when I must be in Montreal. The condo is a basic unit with all the basic necessities. I travel to Canada once every 6 weeks or so and stay only for about a week. The rest of the time it is vacant. I have decided to rent it out when it is not in use. Since my time in Montreal is flexible , I can be flexible about renting just about any time or length you want it. Since it's a business need, I keep clothes in the closet and other items in the drawers but for the most part a guest can simply slide my stuff aside and make themselves at home. There is plenty of closet space and empty drawers.
