The Hamptons are world famous for their beaches, but also for their shopping, nightlife and restaurants. This home sits in the center of four of the five main villages, Southampton, Bridgehampton, Sag Harbor and Easthampton. Each has its own unique flavor, from the old whaling village of Sag Harbor, to the high fashion glitz of Easthampton. Two of the best restaurants in the area are actually within a ten minute walk of this property.
Montauk Point, with its restored Montauk Light are an easy day trip - as are world famous lobster shacks and restaurants along the way. The North Fork of Long Island is also an easy drive and short ferry ride to miles of wineries of every description, a huge water theme park and aquarium in Riverhead NY and access to high speed jet boats to New England casinos. All an easy one day excursion from this home.
This property affords you the peace and privacy you require for your getaway week, but still keeps you close to all the activities and action you may desire. Why the Owner Chose Southampton
We've been coming out here since childhood, and despite travels around the world have never found the mix of country, beach, great restaurants and city level shopping anywhere else in the world. This is a private peaceful spot - great for kicking back and taking a break from the hectic pace of everyday life.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The ability to listen to birds singing each morning, then walking down to the bay to take a swim, watch the sky and sailboats. Some days we wake up early to see the sunrise over the ocean, go for a walk along the beach and pick up shells and stones. We end the day watching the sunset on the bay side, and come home for a BBQ, then a hot tub soak under the stars.
Spectacular Private beach with great swimming and gorgeous birds. Great fishing and sailing too!
Local produce, free range chickens and turkey right from the farm. Basic groceries too.
Private nature walk and beach along pristine Great Peconic Bay
Federal Wildlife Sanctuary. Feed the birds. See fox and deer, walk all the way to the end of the point. Incredible sunsets and fantastic hiking and swimming
Fresh water swimming. Hiking around the pond. Also three great restaurants nearby.
Spectacular long bay beach. Excellent swimming, especially for small children. Great for walking, biking, blading. Wonderful sunsets and great for cookouts and family events.
Great old whaling village. Historic homes, whaling museum. Lots of wonderful restaurants, shops, services, banks, hardware stores. Especially the famous American Hotel restaurant.
Fantastic swimming, incredible views, uncrowded, no permit needed to park.
Wonderful grocery nearby - best meats for grilling in the area! World famous fried chicken and many other prepared foods. Will also cater any size party.
Gorgeous private beach on the ocean. Few amenities - but miles of unspoiled white sands and ocean waves.
Dozens of shops, many restaurants. Great shopping, walking, ice cream and gelato shops! All services you may need for business and pleasure. Fantastic Hospital too.

We have lived on the South Fork as summer residents for over twenty years. There is almost no place else in the world where you can be close to major urban centers, yet have the peace of the woods next to the unlimited vistas of the bay and ocean beaches. When the opportunity came to purchase this delightful home near our original home, we grabbed it! We have been thrilled ever since to use it for family, friends and many weekly and monthly guests - a number of whom have since gone on to purchase their own homes in the Hamptons. We love to meet new friends and take great pride and care in showing them the best the area has to offer.
