Enjoy staying in a house right on the canal in Galveston's well- known west end subdivision, Sea Isle. Our 900+ square foot home has water views everywhere you look. Here you can enjoy fishing from our deck as well as in the beach which is about 6 blocks away. Bring your rod and reel and get ready for fun!
Our house has two, automatic underwater halogen lights so you can fish both day and night! Or, if you prefer, just watch the fish swim around in the lights. They are very attracted to them. Sea Isle's marina less than a mile away and is very convenient for purchasing live bait.
The house will accommodate 6 comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms: one with a King bed and one with a Queen size bed. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room that is a double bed size. All linens are furnished. Upstairs is one bath w/shower. Downstairs is another toilet, sink, shower and new washer/dryer.
The house has central air and heat , hardwood-like floors throughout, and an all-electric kitchen that comes stocked with basic seasonings, ice maker and cooking utensils to prepare complete meals easily. Unlike some places, we also provide paper goods, cleaning supplies, dishwasher detergent. We don't want you to have to pack these things. All you really need is your food and clothing.
If you like to crab, we have 3 crab traps for your use too. You'll find large pots for boiling the crabs you catch, an electric grill for making pancakes, a coffee maker, blender, crock pot, etc. There's a 42" tv and many cd's should you have time to watch it. Both a Weber gas grill and a traditional charcoal grill/smoker are available for your use.
The neighborhood of Sea Isle provides a convenient boat ramp, so your boat is welcomed. Also Sea Isle has a covered picnic and playground area and a swimming pool for residents and guests... all about a mile from our house. There is a nice restaurant in the marina area called
" Avery's" that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner most of the year. You'll want to check it out.
We restrict the number of guests to 6 including children. No pets /no smoking .

Sept.-Feb:$200 per night, 2 nite min.; 7+ nights @ $175 night.
Holidays at $225 per night, 3 night minimum.
To calculate total: Multiply rate by the number of nights; add $75
$75 cleaning fee; add 15% for tax. Next, add $250 which is a
totally refundable damage deposit. We will email a rental agreement to you.
Long term rentals are welcome and quoted indiviudally.

Why the Owner Chose Galveston
When we first walked into the house, I recall my initial thoughts were "water, water everywhere!" Sitting on the front porch is a soothing view of the bay and looking left and right are views of the canal. We enjoy feeding the birds, trying our luck fishing and relaxing with a cold drink as the sun goes down. This house in Sea Isle is in a quiet, nice neighborhood. You'll feel right at home and quickly adapt to the relaxed pace.
The Unique Benefits at this House
If you are into fishing, you will discover our 2 underwater halogen lights in front of our "private" pier. We often sit here and fish until wee hours of the night. You'll enjoy bird watching as well as seeing boats ride up and down the canal. There is a good restaurant called Avery's in the Sea Isle marina if you like going out to eat. Of course, you can go there in shorts. Both this restaurant and the bait house are at the Sea Isle Marina which is less than a mile away. The beach is walking distance too...about a mile away.

We purchased this home in Dec. of 2007 and spent Christmas on the canal. The Fall, Spring and Winters in Galveston are are favorite times because the weather is mild, and it is fun wearing a windbreaker and walking down the beach.
As an option for a weekend away, remember that the waits in the restaurants are less in the off season, the breeze is cooler and the sunsets and sunrises are equally beautiful. Snow birds are welcome to nest here! Galveston is better than ever... cleaner and rebuilt since Ike. It is amazing how fast the City came back together. There is always fishing right from our dock, a golf course nearby and much to explore in town. Come prepared to keep busy OR just sit back and do nothing. In Galveston, you make your own rules.
