Sundance is an incredibly private retreat at the top of the redwoods just five minutes from downtown Guerneville. Though it is surrounded by towering redwoods, it is perched in an east-facing clearing and gets bright, direct sun most of the day. This is a multi-story property with many nooks and crannies and four couples will be comfortable together here.

The heart of the property is the very large redwood deck, surrounded by trees and sky. You will find that you spend most of your time here lounging, playing games, grilling and eating.

Immediately inside from the main deck is a cozy combined living and dining area with plenty of windows to enjoy the view. The dining table opens out to seat eight comfortably and there is a TV and DVD player and high speed wireless internet. A gas fireplace warms the entire living area quickly and easily.

The extra large kitchen is fully equipped. We love to cook, so you will find everything you'll need to prepare a feast. It has plenty of room to get all chefs in the kitchen too!

On the third floor of the house, the master bedroom is a very special place, with multiple windows looking out on the trees and sky, a high wood ceiling, and a skylight. There is an iron queen bed with cozy down bedding, and there is also a couch tucked into a corner of windows that is easily turned into a twin bed. It has an en suite bathroom with shower and bathtub.

Adjoining the master bedroom is an airy second bedroom with a four-poster queen bed and nice views of the redwoods out of two windows. Guests who sleep here will need to be comfortable walking through the master bedroom to use the bathroom there, or they can use the one common bathroom on the property, which is two floors down.

On the first floor of the house, with its own private deck, is another bedroom with a queen bed. It has its own private 1/2 bath, and also has a door to a shared bathroom with a shower. This room is built into the hillside and it is only 6' 2" high, so gigantically tall people, be warned.

A second bedroom on the first floor contains a full-size bed and desk - a nice place to do a little work if need be!

Finally, there is a very sweet little cottage that has a double loft bed that sits just beneath a huge skylight for a very romantic view of the stars at night. The cottage has its own 1/2 bath and is just above the hot tub, next to the main deck. For bathing, guests in the cottage will need to use the common shower across the deck and down one floor.

There is also a good-sized, private deck on the lower level of the house, close to a hammock in the lower part of the garden. A hot tub is tucked away in another corner, easily accessed from either deck.
