You have found one of the BEST places in the NORTH GA MOUNTAINS! Tranquility Place will be even better in person. Our cabin is nestled in the woods on top of a gentle knoll with the mountains in the distance.
It is bordered by a couple of gentle ravines and a creek. We offer a wonderful flat approach (less than 2 miles from HWY 441), plentiful paved parking for 3-4 cars, much outdoor space for kids to play or grownups to enjoy the privacy of the wooded area. Inside, the kitchen is upscale and wonderfully stocked and can accommodate a large family.
We have a spacious family room with 2 living areas, a queen sleeper sofa, gas logs, a 50" wall mounted flat screen TV with satellite TV/DVD and wireless internet. The all wood floors, tongue and groove heart pine walls and ceilings provide the extra warmth that only a mountain hideaway can provide. The bedrooms are so so spacious; the master offers a king bed and double bed. The queen bedroom has space for our electric inflatable queen bed.
Our furnishings are newer and nicer than most. We are offering you a stay in a very nice mountain home, not a rustic old cabin. We do NOT advertise our VACANCIES for security purposes so please call for available dates. We also have listing #100514 in Clayton on Screamer Mountain.

Weeknights rent $115-$125, Weekend nights rent $150-$175, Week rate is $650-$800,
depending on the season. Security Deposit $100-$250 depending on group size.
Deposit required at reservation, 1 50% payment 60 days prior,
final 50% payment 14 days prior. All rates INCLUDE cleaning fee.

Why the Owner Chose Clayton
There is no better place on earth to us than the mountains of north GA/Rabun Co. We will never have enough time to see all the waterfalls, visit all the trails, climb all the mountains, see all we can of the Chattooga River - but over the next so many years we will try. For us, Rabun County is so easy to get to from our home in northeast Atlanta. Once we are there, the worries of life in the city is so far away. We love the simplicity of life in Clayton but still enjoy the wonderful local restaurants and shops. We hope you will make it your vacation home with us too as much as you can!

Spent a long weekend at this cabin; we were very impressed with the place as soon as we walked through the door. Although there are two other cabins close by; nobody was in them; so we were very secluded over the weekend. Secluded; but yet fairly close to everything - even a Wal-Mart nearby. Cabin was etremely well furnished and was several scales above the typical rustic cabin. The view was okay, mostly just woods; but I had a 4 year old with me, so I loved the "low to the ground" screened porch...very nice and safe. I'll go for the great views when he is a little older. All in all, the cabin worked out very well and Betsy was a wonderful hostess.
Recommended for:Families with young children, people with disabilities.

We stayed the weekend of 10/22/10 & had the best time! The cabin is gorgeous, very clean, very well furnished & comfortable. The kitchen rivals anything I've seen in a model home, the dining table is large & comfortable, all the dishes & cookware you could hope for. Clayton's just a short drive away, large enough for anything you might need. The location's close to Tallulah Gorge & a short drive to Taccoa Falls which was important to us due to my daughter having a mobility issue (relatively flat terrain & a view to die for!). It's also a short drive to NC, so the location couldn't be much better. Would recommend to anyone. One word of caution, the ceilings upstairs in the front bedroom make for a rather tight fit under the rafters for whoever gets the full size bed!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

The cabin was wonderful. Very clean and well maintained. Great location - very secluded but still only a few minutes from town. All of the usual amenities plus some nice extras like charcoal for the bbq grill. Candles on the porch and a fully stocked kitchen. I would highly recommend to everyone.

It was just my husband and I and we really got a treat! This cabin is so nice, neat, clean...you just won't believe it. The owner cares so much that your stay here goes well...you can tell.
