What a week! This beautiful home had everything we could ask for: quaint, bright, and well-located, in the incredible town of San Miguel de Allende. We were there for a birthday party, which was fabulous, but came early only to find that we were invited to the Day of the Dead - La Catrina - festivities by our friends. Great fun....they do know how to party in San Miguel! This was our first time there and we will return; we have friends, new and old, living there and there is plenty to do. We did the spa, horseback riding, golf, fine dining, art and shopping tours, etc., etc. The Parocchia dominates the center of town at the Jardin, with many other historical churches and buildings to walk to on the old cobblestone streets. Back to Casa De Corazon: we absolutely loved it! The cleaning service (Cecilia) was excellent and thorough. We walked a lot but cabs from this hill location are really inexpensive - about $2 (twenty pesos) during the day and $3 (30 pesos) at night (it is more if you order a cab, but they come so often we almost never had to do that). Casa De Corozon comes highly recommended!!
Owner response:I am so glad you enjoyed the casa and the town!

We are 5 adults who spent a week at Casa de Corazon. The casa is cozy, clean, and very comfortable. Everything is just as it appears on the website. The terrace views are spectacular, and the decor is both whimsical and beautiful. Staying at the casa truly enhanced our visit to San Miguel. We were there over New Year's and enjoyed the festivities in the Jardin--but every day there is something going on. We took a day trip to Guanauato and Dolores Hidalgo, although there is plenty to see and do in San Miguel. We arranged with Cecelia to cook a meal for us when we took our day trip, and it was waiting for us when we returned. Delicious!! Our entire stay from beginning to end was flawless. Ian could not have been more helpful. We always rent when we travel, and Casa de Corazon was by far the best rental arrangement that we have made. Thanks Ian!!
Owner response:I am so glad that the Casa de Corazon made your trip great! Thank you! Ian

We had a wonderful time in San Miguel and loved Casa de Corizon. It was almost too good to be true. Cecilia cooked for us one night and it was wonderful. There was no down side to anything at all. We feel truly fortunate. Thank you so much for everything. We would highly recommend San Miguel and your casa!

Casa de Corazon exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. I was looking for a true Mexican/San Miguel experience and this property did not disappointment me. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, this three story home is well-appointed while having old world charm. The antique brick accents and bo'bero ceilings add to the beauty of the place. We found the kitchen to be complete and after shopping at the grocery, had all we needed to fix breakfast at the house each day. The upper terrace was a dream, overlooking the town and near several large trees that were homes to many local birds including twenty or thirty hummingbirds. This home was very convenient to all four of us. We could walk out the front door, walk a few steps, and find a cab if we desired. If not, we could walk for about 20 minutes, and reach the center of town. The owner, Ian, communicated thoroughly as did his property manager. Lastly, the housekeeper, Cecelia, was wonderful. I will definitely return to this property. It is perfect for any group; but be mindful that there are several sets of stairs and would not serve for people with disabilities or young children.

Our stay in Casa de Corazon was wonderful. It was our first visit to SMA and we felt extremely lucky to have found this house for rent. There were four of us sharing the space and there is plenty of room so that no one gets in the way of the other. Taxis are readily available a short walk from the front door. I will most certainly come back to SMA and to this house. Thank you.

Casa de Corazon was wonderful. From the art to the specutacular views from the two balconies. Pilar and Cecilia were helpful and very pleasant. In fact Cecilia made us a dinner one night which we had on the highest balcony while watching fireworks! The Hummingbirds visited us everyday early in the morning and during siesta time. The walk down to the Jardin was pleasant and if we did not walk the "up" back it was easy and cheap to get a taxi. We hope to stay in thise beautiful home with "Heart" again. Thank you Ian. Joy

We just returned from spending one week in the Casa. It is very beautiful and pleasent place to stay. The roof top views are spectacular. It was well furnished and our entire family, 11 years to 80 years old enjoyed our time in SMA.

San Miguel is a delight to the eyes and palate; a beautiful colonial town, and a shopping mecca with good food- what more can you ask? The cherry on the cake was Casa Corazon itself- pristine, very comfortable, fun decor, suberb location, outstanding views. Having lived in Mexico, I was particularly impressed with how well everything worked! What a pleasure to lounge happily at "home" and then comfortably and safely walk into the market, galleries and restaurants-cheap taxis too. Well priced, this is a great house to share with friends. I will definitely return!

We stayed at Casa de Corazon in San Miguel de Allende for two weeks. The weather was perfect! Sunny, dry, and warm. After a cool, wet winter it was wonderful. Everything we needed was provided in the house or was available in town. We walked everyday! While in the house we enjoyed the library in upstairs bookcase. Thanks!

We were delighted by the cozy atmosphere of Casa Corazon. After a month, it felt like our own home. We would rent it again next year, but it has already been reserved by others for our desired time period!

We stayed 10 days at Casa Corazon and were very satisfied. The house was spotless and exactly as advertised. Cecelia, the maid was efficient friendly and helpful. I enjoyed having the top floor terrace, where I painted impressions of San Miguel in the mornings. The kitchen is well equipped.

Casa Corazon is a delightful home, with 3 beautiful terraces (one off the master bedroom), with breathtaking views of San Miguel. It has all the 'comforts of home'. It is located in a peaceful neighborhood of well-maintained homes, within an easy 15min walk downhill to shops & restaurants. We did not find the walk home difficult, but for those who prefer a taxi, they are plentiful, and cost 20 pesos ($2). The buses also stop a block away. Street noise is minimal, although San Miguel itself never seems to sleep, and visitors should expect barking dogs, crowing roosters, and church bells. We will happily rent this home again, and recommend it highly. MaryAnn Holt

We enjoyed the house immensely. It is charming, functional, and attractive. It met all of our needs. We shared it with another couple who also enjoyed it. It provided ample space to be together and to have privacy. It is the best of the three houses that we have rented in San Miguel over the years. I highly recommend to you.

My husband and I spent all of November 2004 at the house and had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for us and a couple of friends who came to visit as well. The views from the terraces are wonderful, and both Pilar and Cecelia were very helpful. It is quite a long walk to the Centro and the library and so on, but it works out all right if you walk down and then take a cab back up the hill! It's a great house for a family or group of friends to rent, and San Miguel is one of the few places I've been where I didn't get homesick for San Francisco very quickly. :)

As a recent visitor to your home I have only a few comments to add to Gene Robert's note. Everyone you put us in contact with was wonderful. We had a few minor problems and they were seen to immediately. Pilar is a jewel and responded quickly to our needs. Cecelia took excellent care of us and was very reliable and helpful. I will return. Casa Corazon was a such a terrific place for our entire group! My wife, my daughter, her husband, my two sisters and one brother-in-law were a pretty varied group yet the house accommodated all of our unique requirements. It far exceeded our expectations! Everything you need is there...a lovely mexican styled home, space, comfort, proximity to San Miguel (just 10 to 15 minutes walking, bus service or inexpensive cabs), and friendly, helpful neighbors. We recommend it without hesitation and look forward to going back very soon!

I just returned from spending a week at Casa Corazon. It made our trip so much more enjoyable than staying in a hotel. It is a walk into town, but a pleasant one and in a lovely neighborhood near the Parque Juarez. The house has everything you need and the terrace views are excellent. The website pictures don't do it justice. It is well-appointed, bright, and comfortable. I'll definitely return. -Robin Smith
