Why the Owner Chose Pacific Heights
We bought our house in 2009 and are renting out our one-bedroom garden apartment. We are located in Pacific Heights, on the border of Presidio Heights, steps away from our favorite restaurant, Garibaldi's, as well as the Vogue Movie Theater, antique shops on Sacramento Street and Laurel Village. We are one block from California Street, where public transportation is readily available. We are five blocks from Fillmore Street. We are located near some of San Francisco's finest hospitals including CPMC (California Pacific Medical Center), UCSF and St. Mary's.

Having just spent the last 9 mos. in this cozy & immaculate hideaway, I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a 'home away from home' in SF. Everything you'll need for a long or short stay has been thought of & provided for you. The apt. is sunny, quiet & located in a gorgeous part of the city only steps away from the Presidio where the view of the Golden Gate Bridge & The Palace of the Arts can been seen on a daily basis. The host family is lovely and happy to answer any & all needs or questions. It is in an ideal location within easy walking distance of everything from coffee shops, excellent restaurants & groceries to theater & boutiques. Public transportation to everywhere in the city is available within 2 blocks. I would stay here again and recommend it to my family & friends. A heartfelt Thank You to my host family for making my stay so enjoyable!

The space is perfect for anyone looking to spend time in the Bay Area either short or long term. Very clean and fully furnished, and on top of all that, the owners of the apartment and their family are great. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone.

We stayed in this lovely apartment the week of Thanksgiving. It was just perfect--spacious, light and airy with comfortable furnishings. Eleanor went out of her way to make us feel at home. She has compiled a great list of nearby attractions, restaurants and shopping. The shops on Sacramento Street are fun to wander through, and breakfast at Ella's is excellent!

What a perfect stay! We were in town for a wedding and had our 2 1/2 year old with us. I'm SO glad I canceled our hotel reservation and stayed here instead. When we got to the apartment, Eleanor had stocked it with a pack'n'play, a stroller and a box of toys (which our son loved) and there were balls and a tricycle in the yard. We had to leave our son with a sitter for 8 hours during the wedding and I'm so glad he had space to play. The apartment has everything we needed. They even thought of the small stuff that many other vacation rentals leave out--a full-length mirror for getting ready; a hook in the bathroom for hanging your toiletry bag; eco-friendly sandwich bags in the kitchen; travel-size toiletries in the bathroom in case you forget. I was just thrilled with this little place and hope I get the chance to stay for a longer visit again soon. Thank you, Eleanor!

We stayed in Eleanor's apartment for two very enjoyable weeks in October.The apartment is beautifully furnished,is very well maintained and very quiet. The kitchen is very well equipped. It is also very central with parks, shopping ,restaurants within easy walking distance.A very regular public transport system is close by.It was a home from home for us for the two weeks.Thank you Eleanor and Tom.

We had a great time during our visit to your beautiful city! The apartment was perfect for our needs. The location- close to the #1 California bus, made it very accessible. It was quiet, and the perfect respite at the end of a long day of sight seeing. We will definitely look you up next time we are in San Fran! This is a very nice apt and is beautifully located.We were there for 4 days with 2 small kids and everything we wanted was very do-able because of where the apt is. Our kids had a blast in the backyard and never felt crowded. The owners are very gracious, kind, thoughtful and nice.It made all the difference to us. Thank you, Eleanor!
