This 155m2, 3 bedroom apartment belongs to a movie producer. He travels most of his time.
It is a bright apartment (7 large windows) perfectly located, rue Nicolas Flamel, in a quiet and charming pedestrian district in “Le marais”. It is located on the 3rd floor (4th floor to US standards). Design is unique : a mix a glamorous decoration (living room, bedroom, bathroom), British style (office), French café (kitchen), and the classical French Haussmannian style of the original apartment style. Without being luxury, the mixed decoration gives the apartment a lot of charm.
It offers nice views over beautiful French style stone buildings and a suspended garden. The 2 bathrooms are a plus.
As a bonus, Phone calls to land lines in France, and to US, Canada and australia are generaly free. It is also true for more than 50 countries. Located in a calm and safe street, 1 mn walking distance from the Museum of Modern Art (Beaubourg), it is surrounded with middle age dated narrow streets full of restaurants and shops.
You will find a mix of cultural attractions, hype bars and night life, fancy clothes stores and traditional architecture. The “Seine” is 3 mn walking distance. In summer, enjoy the “Paris plage” attraction when the Seine banks are transformed in sand beaches and cultural attractions (music, sports , events …).
Located in the center of Paris, you will be at 10 mn of most of the interesting spots, using at will the following subway stations: Chatelet, Hotel de Ville, Les Halles.

Bonjour. Last year my family and I rented the Flamel apartment from you for the month of September. We all loved it so much! My girls, who are 19 and 17, have fallen in love with Paris and wish to continue to pursue their language study there. We are interested in renting a studio apartment for them for approximately 3 months so that they can attend language school. They would arrive approximately February 1 and stay for approximately 90 days. Our preferred location for them is in the Marais and second, in the Latin Quarter. The school they are planning to attend is in the Marais (actually just around the corner from the Flamel apartment on Blvd de Sebastopol). Would you have any studio apartments available during that time for them? If not, do you have any other ideas for us? Thank you for your assistance.

The apartment was a perfect size for the 5 of us and the location was great, within walking distance of Notre Dame, Pompidou Center, shops, and the Bear Cave. We had a great time and this apartment would rate a 5 with some repairs and some decent furniture. Some of the chairs went so far beyond 'antique' that they certainly would have fallen apart if we had used them. The apartment could benefit from a bit of handyman attention: missing lock screws, missing toilet seat (!), loose door knobs, cracked window, funky Astro-turf-lined bathroom door and a forbidding stairway with patches of missing plaster. But if you're not picky about such things, it has a lot of charm, a lot of room and a great location.

We obviously feel necessary to comment on the apartment itself : - this apt is a very nice and large place with 3 bedrooms. It is very well located. - It is decorated in a very original style. Guests enjoy it a lot. As you say, it is an apt of charm. - It is clear this apt is not a luxury apt (week price would then be 3500€/week). We do not position it as such, just consider the price level. We call it and advertise it as an "artist apt". Practically, - the 2nd toilet has no missing seat. It is manufactured without as it is of small size.It was added to add convenience. It should be considered a 2nd toilet. - after your review, the lock screw was fixed, as well as loose door knobs. - the stairway needs defintitely work. It depends of the building owner. And good news, it should be fully refurbished in autumn 2011. We are sure all these improvements will give more confort to this artist apt. Thanks for your feedback. Jnoel

Spacious, quirky, comfortable,well located 3bedroom apartment, the bedrooms had privacy and there were really three living area(s kitchen, office and lounge)which was great for our extended family reunion. . Grandad found the 3 flights of stairs needed staging( no lift) but the rest of us were fine. The "grand old lady" original fittings and feel are wonderful, but a bit tired ( the floor is uneven in places), but the price is right for a great experience with plenty of room. Walk to the deli, patisserie,metro,river,concerts. The local contact was helpful but not intrusive. Recommended if you are travelling in a large party.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, girls getaway, families with teenagers.
