Our vacation log cabin is spectacular with 3,000 sq. ft of living space.
Built in 2003, it has all the bells and whistles on three floors. The lower level is a walk-out and has 9' ceilings, 3 bedrooms, a family room and 2 full bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has a 3 piece en-suite, a queen bed, bunk beds and a small TV w/satellite.
Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and a single bed. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed. Guests in bedroom 2 and 3 share a 4 pce. bathroom. The family room includes a large sofa bed, TV/Satellite and X-Box and Wii.
The main floor includes a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and large island. The great room is large and spacious with vaulted ceilings, wide plank reclaimed wood floors, large dining area, open log beams, TV/Satellite, built-ins and a beautiful log staircase heading to the loft area.
There is a 2 piece. bathroom and a separate laundry room on the main floor as well. The sunny loft area includes the Master Suite with a beautiful log king bed, desk with computer/internet, TV/Satellite, a large en-suite with oversized tub and a deck that overlooks the lake and the pool area.
There is a large 10' wrap-around deck on 3 sides of the cabin with a large gas BBQ perfect for relaxing, eating or taking in the breathtaking views.
The grounds of our property are truly amazing. Come out from either the main or lower level and you are welcomed by a beautifully landscaped yard and awesome views of the lake, manicured grass, flowers and spectacular natural rock retaining walls.
There is an 8 man hot tub, outdoor hot and cold shower, large heated swimming pool and a spacious pool deck filled with chairs and loungers for your ultimate enjoyment. Listen to relaxing music or liven it up with our outdoor speaker system.
During the day you can enjoy the lake activities and even rent a boat or sea-doo to try waterskiing, wakeboarding or tubing. When the sun goes down, enjoy the glow and warmth of the gas fire pit conveniently located on the pool deck.
Even the fisherman in the family can enjoy the opportunity to cast for Bull Trout & Northern Pike. The property offers 260 feet of lake frontage. You can venture up our short private road to get to the rest of this 5 acre property where the family can have the room to play games or just throw a ball around.
There is plenty of room for parking, RV's or tents for those who are more adventurous. Nothing has been missed.
Sophie Lake is located in the Tobacco Valley near Eureka in beautiful NW Montana. It is very private with only a dozen cabins on the entire lake. Sophie is 3 miles long, crystal clear, warm and perfect for relaxing and water sports in the summer and/or skating and ice fishing in the winter.
Sophie Lake is located 10 minutes from the Canadian/US Roosville border crossing offering great access to both Canada and the rest of Montana. The town of Fernie, BC, Canada is only 45 minutes north and boasts challenging golf courses and a world class downhill ski resort.
South from the cabin 45 minutes is Whitefish, MT. Whitefish has several excellent golf courses and is home to the Big Mountain Ski Resort (often the playground of the Stars). The new 18 hole Indian Springs Ranch Golf Club is currently under construction to be ready August, 09 and is only 10 minutes from Sophie Lake.
The town of Eureka is only 15 minutes away with quaint shops, home-style restaurants, grocery stores and friendly people. There is a small airport within 5 minutes of the cabin and a national airport located in Kalispell, only 1 hour away.

Why the Owner Chose Eureka
Sophie Lake is a beautiful lake nestled in the Tobbacco Valley of NW Montana. There are panoramic views of the Canadian Rockies as they stretch across the horizon. It is only 3.5 hours drive from our home in Calgary, Canada and ideal for a weekend get-away. The Towns of Fernie, BC, Canada and Whitefish, MT. are only 1 hour drive away with Ski Resorts and excellent golf courses. There is a new 18 hole public Golf course 5 minutes from Sohpie Lake called Indian Springs Ranch. The location is ideal for us.

Sophie Lake is the perfect place to get away. The views are magnificent and the lake is crystal clear, being fed each spring with pure water from the Canadian Rockies. In the summer the water is very warm and ideal for water sports like waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing and running around on the sea-doo. Fishing is also a very popular sport both in summer and winter. Sophie lake is only 10 minutes away from the town of Eureka with quaint shops, grocery stores, home-style restaurants and friendly people. In the winter, skiing is only a hour away at either Fernie Ski Resort (Canada) or Big Mountain Ski Resort (Whitefish, MT).

Our family loves doing things together and we can't always get away on a big trip. We built our beautiful Montana Sophie Lake cabin so we could play together more often. As our family continues to grow we have come to appreciate the wonderful memories we have been able to build there. Everyone is always excited to come.
