This home is a tropical escape: surrounded on three sides by lush rainforest and an ocean view from the Lanai. Open beam ceilings give a light and airy feel, while the consistent trade winds (no vog!) keep the house cool and comfortable all day long.
The Big Island is an adventurer’s paradise, with snorkeling, hiking, kayaking, surfing, scuba diving leading the long list of activities available everyday. Of course, you could just while away the days, snoozing in the hammock on the wraparound lanai. Your choice, your retreat.
The rainforest provides nature sounds all day long, and whale watching in season is a favorite way to connect with your tropical environment. Brew a cup of Kona coffee and feel the stress melt away. Take a nice walk in our clean and safe neighborhood while enjoying the daily sunshine. Don’t be fooled by Puna’s reputation for rain! Hawaiian Shores is on a sunny point and is gorgeous almost every day of the year.
Black sand beaches are nearby, as are the active lava flows. A short drive to the farmer’s market will allow you to stock up on fresh papaya, mango and pineapples. Organic veggies sold by local farmers just can’t be beat for freshness and flavor.
Kona is an easy day trip for unmatched beaches and scuba diving, with world class shopping available as well. Volcanoes National Park is a must see attraction, and a short car ride up the mountain.
The home easily sleeps eight, which makes for a perfect location for family reunions or group trips. Plenty of space and activities means that everyone can have the vacation that suits them. We welcome you to Hawaii and to the big island retreat house.

- Just 20 minutes away from the active volcano flow and lava heated ocean bathing ponds. The snorkeling is fantastic! 45 minutes to Volcano National Park, and Kona is an easy day trip. Gentle trade winds blow all day and keep the house cool and comfortable.

Why the Owner Chose Pahoa
After looking for several weeks, we found this home and fell in love with everything it had to offer. The ocean view is wonderful, the nature sounds all around us renews the spirits. Whale watching from the Lanai and nearby park was a dream come true. We found paradise!

The best single thing is the sense of ease and comfort that comes with a stay at the home. All the of the worldly cares and concerns just melt away and you can feel the stress and anxiety leaving your body. A soak in the Jacuzzi tub certainly speeds that along!
