This is the Best Deal in Town. The fall weather was perfect. I enjoyed the access right to the river deck from one of the bedrooms and family room and kitchen. This is an older cabin, but so adorable inside, feels like home. The river views are awesome and the mountain views are panoramic. I will be back each year. We took advantage of all the Restaurant Menu's displayed in the cabin and all the magazines and brochures in the cabin also. We loved that the place was so close to town, but yet in the country for cozy country atmosphere. Thanks again Bernie, you were a wonderful Host.

this is our 2nd time visiting Grants Pass Oregon and this little cabin on the Rogue. It's like our 2nd home, we appreciate again all the little extras. WOW !! never saw a wild Bald Eagle before, let alone 2 of them. The Blue Jays and birds were so cool. THANKS for the Bird food. We played with your puzzles and games. My bed was so cuddly. Once again a fabulous stay at the River House, as we call it. I have to say I love this place and have decided to move here, and Bernie has been instrumental in helping me in so many ways. We saw "our" beautiful eagle across the river, however we think this is a different one from last year, as she was much bigger! Had some spectacular thunderstorms our first night followed by two perfect weather days. I love the big bed in the downstairs, and call it my "nest". Bernie goes out of her way to make us feel welcome, and please note she does not charge for cleaning or a deposit, which we feel is a great convenience. Thanks again for a great vacation!

Use Map Quest or other internet directions, as we followed Miss Bernie's directions and got lost. Our accommodations at this rental left a bit to be desired. The propane barbeque was not working, so we resorted to the charcoal grill, which was not a big deal, but there was no lighter fluid and about 5 charcoal brickets left. With that being said, we decided to cook something in the oven, which was also broken and not working. When we arrived, the dryer was jammed full with the previous renters towels and sheets and the dryer was broken as well - it ran for hours and everything was still damp. So, we had to use damp towels to dry off with after our showers. The downstairs bedroom is a converted basement, so very dark and dreary. The only saving grace was the deck on the back of the house overlooking the Rogue. It is an older home with older furnishings and I would not re-rent this house nor recommend.

We always appreciate and take note on all customer feedback. We learn from our customers and always improve from traveler NEW IDEAS. Our email confirmation, driving directions and instructions in the Cabin, states,"If you need anything during your stay, please give me a call and I am happy to help ANYTIME" Our directions to our COUNTRY CABIN have been working well, as we have not had a lost traveler for over 2 years. Our traveler here,called and stated they were lost, and I was happy to stay on the phone with them the whole time, until they arrived and were safe and sound. Inside our COUNTRY CABIN are very detailed INSTRUCTIONS. Noted in the CABIN instructions were, the gas BBQ, was for owner use only, (completely covered and tucked away in a corner) and the BRAND NEW CHARCOAL BBQ was out on the river view deck for the clients to use. (We supply BBQ, but don't supply the additional items) our COUNTRY CABIN is priced accordingly. Upon review, Dryer was not broken, Dryer was accidently pushed against the wall and therefore the air FLOW vent was bent. (we pulled the DRYER out and ALL is ok). There are ALWAYS fresh dry towels hung on towel racks in each bathroom for each traveler to use upon their arrival and extras in the closets. We are sorry our clients did not see fresh towels on the towel racks in each bathroom.(Upon review of the Oven, there were instructions on the Stove, about the Oven Use)(not broken) (NEW STOVE/OVEN has since been installed) the downstairs is decorated with COUNTRY FLAIR and Cabin-like decor with oak furniture and is an Oregon Style for the Outdoor Traveler. The downstairs has plenty of lights and 2 windows, to light the bedroom. It has been called COZY, COMFORTABLE. (Clients have choice of sleeping downstairs or upstairs depending on their styles.) This Country Style Cabin has been a very nice Vacation Spot for many travelers in the past, and I hope to please many in the future. As stated in the agreement of terms, all tenants are requested to read the Cabin Details upon entry of the cabin, and call if they need any assistance,I am so happy to help.

We enjoyed our extended Memorial Day "WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S" ! The wrap around deck was great. Got to see both Bald Eagles across the river. Many Birds. Also the Raccoon ate birdseed from the bird feeder in front of the living room window at dusk on nearly every day . WOW ! Our dog enjoyed the fenced in backyard. Restaurant Menu's were very helpful for finding dinners- Thank you !! This was a great stay overall. We will look you up the next time we stay in Grants Pass. Cheers ! From Redding Calif

My wife & I spent 7 days at this rental and it met our needs perfectly. The house is older, but the owner left a lot of instructions, suggestions & information to help us with restaurants & activities in the area. There are grest views from the large back deck and it was an excellent resting place after a day of sightseeing. Lots to see & do within a 2 hour drive.
