This truly charming bungalow has a bit of an old world feel. It was lovingly restored with a nod to the 40’s. The rooms are painted in bright, upbeat colors that add to its fun beach vibe.
The house is 1000+ square feet with great living space; a large living room, cheery dining room and 2 wonderful porches. The side porch is enclosed and perfect for card games that last into the night. There are 3 adorable bedrooms; the red room has a double bed, the green room a twin, the blue room 2 twins that can easily be joined to make a king.
There is a galley kitchen off the large dining room and a petite bathroom with a claw foot tub and shower. The large backyard yard beckons naps in the hammock, a BBQ and summer games. The outdoor shower is great for after the beach.
Located a block from Padanaram’s inner harbor, the house has deeded beach rights to a neighborhood beach great for small children and launching kayaks. Idyllic Round Hill beach is a 10min drive and Horseneck Beach is 8.5 miles away in Westport.
The house is located a short walk to Padanaram Village where you will find a sweet harbor town with a lust for sailing. The Harbor boasts lovely views, shops, a great local restaurant, a sandwich shop and ice cream (of course).
This is a great area to explore – a true gem and home to some of the most beautiful coastland in New England. It offers everything from beaches, biking, kayaking, nature reserves, hiking trails, antiquing, day trips to the Cape & Islands, Providence, Boston and so much more.

We fell in love with this area 10+ years ago and then found this house which we restored with great love - by hand! The South Coast is one of the few gems left in New England. We feel so lucky to have this home and to share it with people who may like a simple way of life. We hope you treat our home with care and that you find the beauty and joy of this area as healing as we do! l&m

The listing described perfectly what this rental had to offer. But to be there was even better than expected. The house is obviously cared for and loved and we felt lucky to have chosen it. The owner was more than welcoming and helpful to us. The location is so convenient. We walked to the village, explored on bikes, taking in the wonderful houses and gardens in the area. The restaurants in the village were good. The Lobster Rolls at The Bucket were a hit. Walking in the Lloyd Center was peaceful with nice views of the water. The Whaling Museum in New Bedford is terrific. The house had several spaces where we could sit and relax. We especially liked the side porch for morning coffee abd backyard was great for tossing the frisbee and gathering while cooking on the BBQ. This area is wonderful to explore and this bungalow is the best!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
