In the centre of San Gimignano, in the main street, via San Matteo (part of the ancient Francigena road), you can find the Nomi Pesciolini Palace.
It dates back to the XIII century, where once was the residence of Desiderio, king of the Longobards.
Also Federic "Red Beard" stayed there, during one of his journeys to Italy.
At the bottom of this palace-tower, you can also find an etruscan grave, in the middle of a nice typical garden.
The palace is close to St. Bartolo's Church, little church in Romanesque style, built in 1173.
Between these two medieval buildings, you can find Daniela's private accommodation, where the lady is renting one double room with private bath or shower, with possibility of adding at least two extra beds, and use of kitchenette and TV.
Panoramic view of the famous tower's while from the bedroom window one can enjoy the view of the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

You could not ask for a better location. San Gimignano is close to all the major cities and also the Chianti region. The city takes your breath away, and the apartment was perfect. Claudio and Daniela are such wonderful and helpful hosts. To appreciate Tuscany I would recommend a car. Claudio fixed us up with a garage as the parking is almost non existant due to the many tourists. We really enjoyed our visit to Castello di Verrazzano's Wine Tasting and Food Experience. Affordable at 48 euros per person. We highly recommend Casa La Torre nomipesciolini, like I said....A slice of Heaven. The perfect Tuscany vacation.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+.

The property is as advertised: Inisde the perimeter of the old town, within easy walking distance to all attractions of this small and beautiful town. The area surrounding San Gimignano is great too and city attattractions in places such as Volterra, Pisa and Siena are within an hour's drive. The hosts are very friendly and very nice people who care about their property and the apartment is in very good condition. A supermarket for your grociery shopping is just beyond town limits, many small stores with lots of wine, cheese, and other selections within meters. Car is desirable and we parked it for a reasonable fee within a few blocks of the apartment. Highly recommended.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+.
