Commissioned in 1929 for the author Stewart Edward White, and later owned by the actress Ruth Roman, the exceptionally handsome ‘CREOLE” is a classic fantail yacht. Hand crafted in Washington state of fine wood and heavy timber, and launched in 1930 as the Kuru, this stout yacht has literally cruised the world over for nearly eighty years. Recently restored, the CREOLE is one of the very few authentic gentlemen’s long range cruising yachts that remain from yachting's grand era.
* Creole is available for charter during the summer of 2009 from 2 to 10 days with longer options available.

A Puget Sound native, Dale grew up exploring the back waters of the sound as a boy. He made his first solo cruise to the San Juan Islands at age 15. Since then, he has cruised and raced upon many of the oceans of the world and skippered all types of boats from high performance sailing catamarans in the Hawaiian Islands to dhow’s off the coast of East Africa. Having recently returned from over 8 years working as a general manager of a safari lodge in Tanzania, Dale is keen to show you his favorite part of the world, the Pacific Northwest and the San Juan Islands.
