This is a family home and we are an old Gearhart /Portland family. We have been involved with the starting of the 4th of July Parade and the book "History of Gearhart"

The Unique Benefits of this House
Peaceful .....so very peaceful. All you can hear at night is the crashing of waves.....yet walkable to everything including the bakery and store and golf and beach. I am amazed by the light flowing into the large windows, even on a cloudy day. The open floorplan offers a fun family experience where the cook gets to interact with all the inhabitants. It is also a great house for entertaining and we have had many wedding showers. We do not rent it for weddings though.

Breathtaking ocean views greeted us as we walked in, and we discovered a home perfect for our multi-generation family gathering. The upstairs master with queen bed was a cozy retreat for the grandparents for their afternoon naps. They loved waking up in the morning and other times to the 180 degree ocean view. Steps upstairs was not a concern for them. The upstairs bath is a sink and toilet so they did shower in the main-floor bathroom. The other master is reached by walking through one bedroom with twin beds. It has it's own full bath and two sinks. The people in this pass-through room have a separate full bath right outside their door. Having the 2 twins nearby is perfect for parents in this master to keep an eye on snoozing kids. Just outside the front door, the separate annex had it's own full bath with two very cheerfully appointed bedrooms, each with two beds. This is great for older children or adults. With its own entrance, it made scooting out early in the morning for coffee at Pacific Way and a walk on the beach possible without disturbing others. Plenty of towels, beds were comfy (no sinkers), kitchen had two refrigerators, lots of pans & plates for our 9 people and plenty of storage for various family members' foods. Washer and dryer were up to date and very handy. Outdoor deck being surrounded by a glass wall allowed us to enjoy the deck and the view, for lunch, even on a windy day. Location is very walkable to downtown Gearhart, about a 10 minute walk and just a pitching wedge from the first hole of the Gearhart Golf Links. The only con I can think of is this would not be a place for someone who cannot walk 3 or 4 stairs. There are stairs to the front door, down from the entry to the living room, up to the kitchen. We were aged 87 to 20 and had a lovely time, did not want for a thing! The only con I can think
