Beautiful Berkshire Cabin Close to All Attractions and Beach

Why the Owner Chose Stockbridge
We finally moved here full time after spending time here summer after summer. It is a relaxing drive from NYC and Boston, very pastoral setting with lots of outdoor activities along with wonderful theater from Shakespeare & Co, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Barrington Stage, Williamstown Theater and Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony. Museums such as The Norman Rockwell, The Clark, Berkshire Museum and Frelinghuysen Morris House & Studio. Lots to do and very relaxing.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Very well located between the towns of Stockbridge and Lenox and within walking distance to the Stockbridge town beach. A mile from the Lion's Gate at Tanglewood. Quiet summer community with lots of time spent on the front or back porch.

Rustic Retreat

Location is good (Tanglewood right up the road, Stockbridge beach a short walk down a steep hill), and cabin was tidy. But be prepared for a rustic retreat! No washer/dryer, kitchen is very small and has the bare necessities, but the stove, oven and toaster were all in need of a good cleaning. The cabin was very musty when we arrived, maybe because of the rainy weather? Lots of cobwebs (especially in the loft), and not much ventilation, since most of the old wooden windows wouldn't open. Front porch is nice, back porch has no ventilation (or working outlets to accommodate a fan). Be warned: the electrical is very outdated, and there are only a few working outlets available throughout the cabin.
Owner response:Both the kitchen and back porch were totally renovated last year and the kitchen is well equipped. The back porch has all new windows which do open for ventilation. This is the first that we had heard that the outlet on the back porch was not operable and have an electrician scheduled to look at it and do necessary repairs. We did not indicate that there was a washer/dryer at the property. Will definitely talk to the cleaning crew about cobwebs and kitchen!

This is a wonderful cabin. It is cozy and clean, well taken care of, had excellent character, and a great location. The owner was very thoughtful throughout the stay. I can only hope we will return soon!

Very friendly owners, tidy clean cottage, very close to many attractions in Lenox, Stockbridge and other berkshire towns. We did Tanglewood, picked blue berries, swam in the nearby lake, rode horses and scenic historic trains. A very enjoyable week.

my husband and i and another couple went for memorial day weekend and had a wonderful time in this cozy cabin! the location is really great and the cabin itself was super clean and comfortable. we loved the eating porch at night, and spent a lot of time enjoying the wooded surroundings from the spacious front porch in the mornings and afternoons. maureen couldn't have been nicer and more helpful too.

We had a great time at the cabin for a week before our wedding this August. Tanglewood and Lenox are so close. Zoe enjoyed walking down to the Bowl. The front porch was great for evening dinners and a big scrabble game. Had such a great week. Thanks again! -Alan & Zoe
