This is a great ocean front unit in a nicely renovated complex with good amenities. From a million dollar view to sunsets to a seven mile long beach - this has it all. You can sit on the lanai and watch the water, see whales jump. You can swim at the gorgeous pool. You can walk the beach, swim in the ocean, snorkel.
The condo is nicely upgraded. There is a spacious master bedroom, generous sized living room that opens up to a full length lanai. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances and cookware. There is also a good sized eating area. The unit has been completely refurnished in August 2009. Everything from a full king bedroom set with 'Tommy Bahama' bedding, to 40 inch flat screen TV and bluray player, wireless internet, to new dining and patio furniture, this property is all refurnished!
We bought this property after staying in this complex for 10 vacations because of the spectacular location, the great grounds and beach and he proximity to all amenities and attractions. This is our slice of heaven!

Stayed 2 weeks at this condo on Sugar Beach. Well maintained unit, building and grounds. Sugar Beach Resort is very close to all amenities and very central to all activities on the island. Would very much recommend this location to anyone looking for a fantastic Maui vacation getaway! The on-site Maui Sights is extremely helpful with their knowledge of the island and with help selecting tours, excursions or which luau to attend. The pool and hot tub area are both central to the buildings which is very nice. Both were very well kept and as were the grounds. There is an outdoor set of bbq's in which to use which for those not wanting to eat out at one of the multitude of restaurants is a very welcomed service. Thank you for the condo to stay for our wonderful Maui 2011 trip! Cheers!

Unit needs some TLC

We stayed at Sugar Beach for 12 nights at the end of August beginning of Sept 2011 (I should have written this sooner). The location was perfect for our needs. The location of the unit we rented was second to none as we faced the ocean. However, the pictures don't exactly reflect the actual condition of the unit. We were disappointed in the condition of it upon arrival. I'm sure it looked like this when it was first redecorated. It has all new furniture. The unit needs a new coat of paint, the slider door between the bedroom and bathroom needs fixing. The carpet needed (at that time) a good clean as it was stained. The bathroom needs to be redone as the grout and fan need to be replaced as well as the tile work is splitting. We did like the fact that the unit has A/C and in August we needed it. Also having a washer and dryer in the unit was a big bonus. The A/C, washer/dryer and location to the ocean were the reasons we booked at Sugar Beach. We made good use of the BBQ area. I would definitely stay at Sugar Beach again, but just a different unit. I have found that units with no reviewer comments are that way for a reason.
Owner response:Hi Charlene; Thanks for your review. We had the unit painted when we purchased the property in 2009. I am forwarding your email to our management company and asking them to make the repairs as needed to the: paint, grout, fan, slider door, carpet cleaning. Sorry it wasn't in top shape for you. We will be correcting those items shortly. Don
