This home is as exceptional place to stay. We had a family of 5 and had plenty of room to eat, relax and sleep in. The location to the free bus route is perfect for walking with your gear and kids and the location is in a nice quiet neighborhood. The bus ride to the mountain is real quick. The kitchen is well equipped for making meals and spacious for socializing. The owner was very willing to accomodate our needs and answer any questions we had. We are hoping to return next year and rent the same house.

Beautiful well equipped, clean, new home in excellent location to the ski area and town. Peaceful views of adjacent open land. Five of us shared the home with room to spare. Enjoyed the amenities. Owner was very attentive to any questions or service, i.e. snow removal, that we needed. Wonderful VRBO experience.

We stayed at this house with another couple and had a great time! There was enough space for all of us and we could go off to our separate sides of the house when we wanted to be alone. The house definitely felt like a home and we enjoyed all of the comforts you don't normally expect with a rental (including being able to do laundry before we left)! We definitely recommend this place!

We returned to this home again this year over Christmas break and had another wonderful stay. Conveinence to the bus route allowed us to go car-less this trip, Go Alpine even made a special grocery stop for us on the way in from the airport to make things even more convenient. Love the home; always super clean, great views out the back, great access to hiking, great access to the bus, big spacious kitchen, heated floors, comfortable area to dress & store ski clothes down stairs. Would rent again.

This home was extraordinarily beautiful; well-maintained, spotless, high-end bedding and appliances. The owner was extremely helpful before and during our stay and even decorated the home for Christmas. Hottub was a hit with the kids and adults in our group. Very close to ski area and town shopping area. I cannot say enough how amazing this home is - the pictures do not do it justice. Would love to stay here again.

This property is a real gem! The pictures are very accurate - the house is as beautiful as the pictures show. It's spacious with a great kitchen for having meals at home after a hard day of skiing. The owner is very helpful and responsive. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the mountain. We chose to drive a short way to a free parking lot. Highly recommended!

It was just as beautiful as the photos, if not even more so. After seeing all the architectural details in person and relaxing in the family room with the high, beamed ceilings and spectacular lighting, it felt magnificent. We settled in and enjoyed coming "home" after our daily adventures. So much thought went into the building and design of this home along with the high end finishes throughout, I found little not to enjoy. The attention to window placement, height and spacing throughout the home was again so very well designed as almost all windows offer magnificent views from every vantage point. I would love to return and hope we will next year. If you are booked or are considering booking a lovely place to stay, this will not disappoint. All in my party share the same sentiments.

A perfect house in a perfect location! The house has everything you need and is really close to all of the outdoor activities in Steamboat. Our 3-year old son loved to play on the outdoor patio and ride his bike to the nearby park and playground. We have already recommended this property to our friends and family -- we hope to be back again someday!

Nelson's home provided my group of 4 adults and 4 small children an incredible luxury Steamboat Summer experience. The attention to detail in this 3 yr old home was phenomenal....everything high-end with the soaring central living/kitchen "great room" a Colorado classic. The home is nestled at the south end of a nice residential neighborhood with a gorgeous patio that looks out on a pristine vegetated hillside.....so relaxing for our crew to grill out or cook in the gourmet kitchen and eat al fresco. Nearby Whistler Park offered an amazing array of lush soccer fields and playgrounds to keep our little ones happy. Finally, Nelson's personal attention to ensuring our group's comfortable stay was very appreciated....he made all the details extremely easy. 5+ star recommendation for this beautiful home!

We stayed here with our young children (4 and 1 1/2) and really enjoyed it. There is a great kids park one block away, and Casey's Pond is close, I took my four-year old fishing several times (and caught some fish!). Fun hiking trails right next to the property. Easy access to everything Steamboat has to offer. The house is beautiful, we grilled and ate on the patio almost every night, and the hot tub was a nice end to the days. The only suggestion I have is some additional window treatments in the second and third bedrooms, but all in all a wonderful place to stay.

My family of five and my parents stayed for five days in this lovely home and would recommend it to anyone! Nelson and Caroline make sure everything you could possibly need is on property and make you feel like you are coming home. The open floor plan and exquisite views make it a pleasure to get up every morning! If you have never been to Steamboat, it is a charming town with many points of interest and activities for all levels from the tame to the adventurous. I was so pleased to find how many things the town had to offer in the summer months and the weather was a perfect break from the Texas heat. The e-mail I received before we arrived was extremely helpful and gave us a perfect way to plan all of our activities for our vacation. We all had so much fun we wished we didn't have to leave and would love to return for another vacation!

My wife and I brought our two boys here for 8 days in July. We were blown away when we walked into this home. The attention to detail in this beautiful place is amazing. There are windows everywhere. You will be very happy! In addition to the spacious layout, large kitchen, bedrooms and laundry room, you really cannot beat the location. You have great views of the mountains and it is on a quiet street. There is a park within walking distance for the kids and mountain trails 100 feet away. Also, it is very easy to get around Steamboat. Everything is close. There is also a City Market, Safeway, and Walmart in town to stock up on food and drinks. We rented bikes on our 2nd day there and enjoyed riding with the kids into town. We stayed in the Vail area last year and this was our first trip to Steamboat. Although Vail is pretty and has fantastic scenery, the town of Steamboat really impressed us. Every restaurant we ate at along the river had great food and the people were very friendly. For the kids there is a hot springs fed swimming pool and mini water park which they enjoyed. We went down Mt. Werner on our mountain bikes one day, and walked the trails on top of the mountain another, took a river raft trip, and just simply relaxed and enjoyed the cool mountain air. My only regret is that we did not make it to see the rodeo which I heard was one of the best in Colorado. That will be on my list for next year. Believe me, you will be impressed with this home. The owners were fantastic and were quick to respond to every question we had. We highly recommend staying here and believe you will enjoy it also.

This home is stunning and looks like the pictures in the ad. The way the interior of the house merges with the outside patio and open space makes it feel like you are always outside in the mountains. The house is perfectly well appointed and is also located close to the ski area, bike paths and hiking.

Our family spent a week in Steamboat skiing and enjoying the mountains. It was a great trip. The house is beautiful and has all the amenities you'd need for a wonderful, relaxing vacation. Kudos for getting the hot tub installed last fall. It made for a nice end to all our long days skiing. We can't wait to get back here in the future.

We had an amazing week in Steamboat. The snow conditions were better than almost any resort we've skied... we woke one morning to 18" of "champagne powder"! Nelson's house is a short car ride to the base of the mountain. We opted to drive so that we didn't have to time the shuttle (which runs every 20 minutes at the end of his street). We never had trouble parking. His house is gorgeous! The pictures accurately depict the house... NEW, well thought out, high ceilings, and floor to ceiling windows that flood both light and mountain in. His house is at the end of a street tucked back in so that you are unaware of any neighbors. We cooked in most nights, it was such a treat to come back after a long day of skiing. At the flip of a switch we had fires going in the living room and master bedroom. We'd throw the tunes on (sound system wired throughout the house and outside), fire up the grill and enjoy the hot tub! We didn't want to go home!

We rented the house with the idea of hosting a wedding rehearsal dinner at the house. Everyone was from out of town and the guest list swelled to more than 50. We met the owner and he graciously allowed us to host our event at the house. It was tremendous. The inside and outside spaces easily accomodated all and the beautiful home told all we had the best place in Steamboat. Directions on the use of the house and cleanup were clear and easily followed. The owner/builder has a gem of a place for relaxing and enjoying the area with a bus stop only a 1 minute walk from the front door.

Where can you go to get away from the brutal TEXAS heat? This is the place!!! We stayed here with 6 people and had plenty of space. The home is very spacious with high ceilings and an open concept, which we loved. Great for entertaining! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking in, which we did breakfast and evening meals...esp. loved the outdoor grill. Also, loved the openness of the house and the wonderful sliding doors that allowed you to feel like you were outside. The stars were incredible from the patio. Another plus to the home is the quietness of the neighborhood and the friendly neighbors. Would we return here? Already talking about next summer...but for a longer stay...would rate this home a 10...Excellent!!!

We spent a week at this beautiful home during the month of August. We had a fantastic week in Steamboat, but I think the best part of the trip was enjoying this gorgeous house. It has lots of windows with great views of the mountains, everything was new & modern and we so enjoyed our time spent on the patio. There is a fabulous scenic hike adjacent to the property and our kids loved playing in the park which is just down from the house. Nelson was very nice, friendly and very helpful. We hope to return to Steamboat and enjoy this home again!

This is a beautiful home with everything you can ask for. We parked in the private garage, had more than enough room for our family of five, enjoyed cooking in the gourmet kitchen (well stocked with everything we needed) and grilling on the patio, and spent our time going for walks, relaxing, reading and playing games. The really comfortable beds came with beautiful views of the mountain, the stars, the valley, the hummingbirds and hot air balloons. One of the best rental homes we've been to - and we've been to many. We plan to come back often.

We stayed here for Christmas this year and had a wonderful time! There were 6 of us, 4 adults and two children ages 7 and 9. The house is located at the end of the street and is very quiet and private. Just a block from the free bus to the ski resort. We had our car but rarely used it. This house is beautiful! Has lots of room but still maintains that cozy feel. I was really hoping it looked exactly like it shows in the pictures and it does! Would love to come back in the spring or summer and get more use out of the patio because it was great! We did use the hot tub and the kids made an igloo out there but it would absolutely be perfect for entertaining! A great place to take the kids is Saddleback Ranch. They have several activites out there, we went tubing and had lots of fun! We went to several restaurants and the food was great at all of them. Nelson was super-very easy going and helpful! We hated to leave! Would definately come back and highly recommend!
