Thank you for your interest in our vacation rental. We have a comfortable 2 bedroom/1 bathroom house located at 2403 J St in Eureka. This location is in the center of Eureka only blocks from Henderson Center or a short trip to Downtown and Old Town Eureka. One of the bedrooms in the house has a king size bed while the other has 2 twin beds. Both bedrooms have direct access to the bathroom which has a stall shower. The living room has 4 comfortable leather chairs and a flat screen television with a DVD player. The house has Wi-Fi high speed internet and a small collection of books and DVD’s. In the kitchen you will find a full selection of cooking pots and pans and basic cooking tools to help you out. There are dishes and glassware for 8 guests, even the martini glasses; of course there is a built in microwave oven and dishwasher. In the back yard is a small bistro table and chairs under the tree. In the garage you will find a clothes washer/dryer for your laundry needs and a couple of sets of golf clubs in case you want to try one of our local courses. One car will fit in the garage and there is ample room for additional off street parking. The house was totally renovated in 2007. All electrical and plumbing is new as is the radiant floor heating system, kitchen and bathroom.
Eureka is a city of almost 30,000 located on the Pacific North coast of California. We have an active arts community with a monthly Arts Alive Night on the first Saturday of each month in Old Town, there are also many local art galleries for viewing or purchasing art. Humboldt State University has its own gallery in Old Town on First Street with student and faculty exhibits and out of the area artist shows. There is a wide variety of restaurants to be found in Eureka and we would be happy to give you some ideas of how to choose your meals out. In Henderson Center there is a great local bakery for morning pastries and coffee drinks. Humboldt County has a bounty of outdoor activities to be enjoyed at our local beaches and forest areas.
Eureka is a 4 hour and 45 minute drive north of San Francisco and 120 miles west of Redding. Whether you want to escape the urban population of the Bay Area or the heat of Redding, Eureka is a great choice.

My wife and I tried to rent this bungalow previously, but it was unavailable. Having stayed there, I now understand why it is in high demand. The house is small but well laid-out, with a good-size kitchen and dining area. The two bedrooms are cozy but comfortable, and the pillow top king bed was great. Living room and electronics were great. The owner was very easy to work with, particularly since this was a business trip that was not confirmed until the last minute. Joe was very pleasant, both on the phone and in his e-mails. We travel with our pugs, and the yard layout made them safe, and kept us from worrying about them as well. Several stores were a short drive away, as was the downtown. We'll definitely make this our first choice the next time we travel to the coast!

The house was great! It was comfortable and clean. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed the central location! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We were thankful for the washer/dryer!

We really enjoyed our stay in this house. It was clean and well stocked with supplies. Having a washer and dryer was very nice. The beds were comfortable. Our dogs were safe in the enclosed back yard. The location made it very easy to get around town. Nice neighborhood too. Highly recommend this rental to people who travel with pets

This is my 3rd time of staying at this house when in Eureka. I travel to the North Coast every spring to see family. Joe was very helpful and the booking process was very easy. The house is clean, beds are comfortable and the location is good for getting around Eureka. I have suggested the house to anyone that asks.

The house was great and well supplied with everything we needed for our ten day stay. The master bed was very comfortable! We enjoyed the patio a great deal and the convenience of the washer and dryer in the garage. The owner was readily available and was extraordinarily responsive to our needs. We would definitely recommend this property as a vacation rental and will very likely rent it again in the future when we come to Eureka to visit our daughter.

The house was great, it had everything in it my family needed. It was clean, well decorated and the beds were comfortable. We used the golf clubs provided in the garage to go to the public course in Eureka. The owner was easy to deal with and very prompt to answer any questions. Compared to other vacation rentals I have used it was one of the best and I will use it the next time I come here to visit family.

Great location, centrally located in Eureka. Nicely remodeled and furnished, kitchen well stocked with dishes and cookery. Quiet location in nice neighborhood of town. Will stay again.
