We can only repeat all the other positive comments posted by others vacationers. This unit is the best. However, we appreciated it more because there weren't many kids runnings around - thus it was quiet and enjoyable. Conveniently located with a fabulous view of the ocean and beach. We will be back!

This was our second stay at the beautiful condo owned by Fran and Vince Jones. Last year we stayed a week and enjoyed our time there so much, that we stayed for 2 weeks this year. The unit is very nicely appointed - with all of the comforts of home - with the bonus of a gorgeous view of the ocean!!! It is next door to the Grand Hyatt and we love walking over and seeing all of the free entertainment they offer to their guests and the public. Nightly live entertainment on the terrace is a must! Dondero's at the Hyatt is great for Italian food with an ocean view. But the condo has gas BBQs, which, along with the well equipped kitchen, make dining at home a real pleasure, too!!! Definitely recommend you give this beautiful Kauai condo a visit in the near future!

This is a beautiful, well decorated unit, well equipped and furnished. We stayed 6 weeks and had every convenience one could wish for. Its on the ground floor, nearest to parking lot, with no traffic noise. We have stayed in several units at Poipu Sands over the last 14 years and this is far superior over any others. Cleaning service is excellent and prompt and any deficiencies are quickly rectified.

The condominium was very beautiful, well decorated, with all the amenities to make your vacation time pleasant. The description and pictures are accurate and the owners, Fran and Vince, are immediately available for questions. The location is perfect in that it is on the sunny side of the island. The beaches, including Poipu Beach, can be easily reached by walking. In addition to snorkeling at Poipu Beach, we had lots of fun in the waves at Brenneke Beach and really loved Polihale beach. The Poipu Sands complex is very quiet at night so you can enjoy the sound of the palm trees rustling in the breeze. We really enjoyed our breakfasts out on the lanai every morning with the birds chirping, and the ocean sparkling across the manicured grounds. I can still smell the fragrant scent of the blossoms. Take me back to Kauai.

Our 5 week vacation at Poipu Sands was everything we hoped it would be. The condo is well looked after and provided everything we needed. Our hosts, Vince & Fran were easily accessible to help with questions we had before we arrived. Their local cleaning staff was a great contact regarding question/emergencies for the condo. I could have sat and looked at the view across the huge lawn to Shipwrreck beach forever. We didn't swim there as the waves are usually fairly big but it's a good place to watch the beach. Also it's the start of a great hike over to Mahalupu Beach. We also enjoyed golfing at Kukuiolono golf course in Kalaheo (great pizza at Brick Oven in Kalaheo). Grocery shopping is pretty good at the Big Save in Koloa, we also stocked up at the Costco in Lihue when we arrived. We did have trouble hooking up to wireless internet but there was a cable connection we were able to use. The problem is probably more our 'non technical' abilities than the connection itself. Thank you Vince & Fran and we look forward to coming back again sometime soon.

We stayed at this condo for 11 days in July and enjoyed our stay. The first thing that impressed us about this condo is that it was very clean and comfortable. The second thing that impressed us was the view. We loved looking out of the lanai and seeing the view of the ocean. It was conveniently located to the pool, parking lot and a 5 minute drive to our favorite beach (Brenneckes). It is good for families with younger kids since the condo is situated on a lower floor and my kids could run in and out to the pool whenever they felt like a taking a dip. The grounds are very well kept, maintained and very quiet. The condo is fairly large and we never felt like we were on top of each other. The listing description and the photos were very accurate. Vince and Fran were very easy to deal with and promptly answered all my questions about the condo and surrounding area. I would recommend this condo for families with younger children and/or older couples.

This condo is perfect in every way...location, ground level entry, beautifully furnished with many thoughtful extras (including books to read). Our bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The condo was very clean. We loved the heated pool, nearby beaches, and the beautiful walking paths. The weather was perfect for our stay of 2 weeks in the winter. We look forward to returning. The owners are very thoughtful and any questions were answered promptly.

This was our first VRBO and it won't be our last. Before booking, we did our research and chose Kauai as our destination. We are so happy we picked Poipu Sands. The condo was clean and inviting. An outside light was left on for our arrival (late evening). We had made arrangements ahead of time and there was coffee and breakfast items ready for us in the unit. I couldn't have picked a better location. We could see the ocean from the condo and we spend many mornings on the huge lanai drinking our coffee and listening to the ocean waves. Very peaceful and quiet complex. This is an end ground unit; close to the parking lot; very accessible for groceries. There are no busy streets to cross to get to the beach and the walking trails. Another plus is the heated pool on the grounds. This is the only heated pool in Poipu Kai. Fran and Vince really do care about your comfort. They phoned twice during our month stay to make sure everything was going well for us. We would not hesitate in recommending this condo and have already referred friends to this site. You will be very happy with this condo and we hope to return in the near future.

We stayed at the Jones' condo for six days in November and had a wonderful time. The condo more than lived up to its description and pictures. The kitchen was well equipped and the furnishings lovely. The grounds were beautiful with one of the two pools conveniently close to the condo. The lanai was spacious with a lovely white water view of Shipwreck Beach. Having rented many Hawaiian condos over the years I have to say that this one is my favorite and I would not hesitate to recommend it to even my most picky of friends. Both bedrooms and bathrooms are big enough for both to be considered a master so it would be perfect for two couples.

Stayed at this condo during my trip to Kauai where I attended a conference at the Grand Hyatt. Lovely clean, spacious condo, great kitchen, view of ocean. Would definetely stay again at the Jones condo. For those attending an event at the Grand Hyatt, this is a perfect spot to stay with an easy 3 minute walk along the ocean to the Hyatt.

In the past I have always stayed in a "Resort" type setting, including one I thought was tops, which it was. Staying at this condo in Poipu Sands was the best. We were 2 couples and there was plenty of room being is is a 2 Bdrm, 2 bath condo. Great location (next to parking and near pool), ocean view and trade winds blow right through the lanai and into condo and helped keep things cool. Condo has a lot of items that are available to renters to use..ice chest, snorkel gear, beach mats and chairs. Nice functional kitchen which saves on $$ from having to eat out all the time. Both couples were highly satisfied and truly hope another opportunity arrives to vacation in Kauai and this condo will be our preference as far as lodging goes. Thank you Vince and Fran and we will be certain to recommend your condo to anyone we know who will be visiting Kauai.

We loved this condo near Shipwreck Beach! The furnishings are beautiful and the condo is a very large 1 story unit that steps right out to the pathway leading to the pool and beach. The kitchen is updated with white cabinets, solid surface counters and new appliances. There is also a large lanai for meals, relaxing and just enjoying the view of Shipwreck Beach. The pool was a quick walk from the lanai making trips back and forth very convenient. The Poipu Sands complex is very low key and even in August the pool was never crowded. This unit is also very close to the parking lot making trips in and out very easy. We would love to stay in the condo again!

We stayed in this beautifully appointed Poipu Sands home for 8 nights in July and felt completely spoiled by the view, the amenities and the location. The grounds are very well maintained, the pool is large enough to swim laps and there are gas grills in several locations should you choose to BBQ. The Jones' Kauai condo has many decorator touches and CD's, DVD's and books were plentiful. We never stayed in to watch movies or TV, but listened to Hawaiian music whenever we were there. The location is ideal for those with smaller children as there is a large lawn to watch children play while you are relaxing on the lanai. The ground floor unit would also be ideal for those who cannot climb stairs. The ocean view can be seen from the main living area and lanai, which we appreciated every morning and evening. The Hyatt is within walking distance and we took advantage of the free musical events there while enjoying a cocktail. We also walked to the Sheraton---a bit further, but an easy walk, to take in other Hawaiian dance shows. Brennecke Beach was a regular morning walk for us to see the turtles and to body surf. We tried to snorkel as much as possible and Poipu Beach was one of our stops, along with some on the North shore. The condo had great beach chairs and towels to pack as well as a cool-pack thermal bag for refreshments. My only regret is that I'm sitting at home writing this rather than being on beautiful Kauai right now. We loved all the comforts this unit provided!

We enjoyed an 11-night stay at the Jones' condo and found it ideal in every way: beach access, swimming pool, spacious bedrooms, kitchen fully stocked with cookware and appliances, books, games, puzzles, laundry room, internet access, entertainment (TV, CDs, DVDs), etc., but the best part? THE VIEW which is visible from nearly every room. In Old Koloa Town we rented snorkel sets, purchased tuna steaks for the BBQ, and browsed through the shops. Using the condo as home base, we toured the Kauai Coffee Plantation, attended the July 4th Luau at the Hyatt, went tubing down an irrigation canal, kayaked up the Wailua River, explored Hanalei and Waimea Canyon, snorkeled at Tunnels, Poipu Beach and various other spots, viewed the Spouting Horn, and spotted sea turtles floating just offshore. In spite of the hot summer weather, the condo remained cool thanks to the ceiling fans and cross-breeze created by the louvered windows. I would highly recommend this unit and look forward to a return visit at some point in the future. The unit has obviously been well-maintained, has numerous upgrades, and it is clearly evident that Fran and Vince have made every effort to make your stay in their bit of paradise, a memorable one. The listing description is entirely accurate, the photos are spot on and the resort was clean and well cared for. While standing on the lanai, I took a photo looking towards the pool area and ocean beyond and it looks precisely like the one in the listing! My photo is the 'wallpaper' on my computer so whenever I log on I can briefly imagine the sounds of the wind in the palms, the surf and the fragrant sea air. Marvelous.

We stayed 9 nights in the condo and it was perfect for our needs. I attended a conference at the Grand Hyatt (which was an easy walk from the unit) while my husband tried out the many golf courses nearby. The condo is clean, spacious and well equipped. The washer/ dryer right in the unit was a big plus. The pool is practically right outside the door and the beach only a short walk. We would definitely recommend this to anyone and would stay there again.

Dear Vince and Fran, Kauai was an awesome experience and it all started when we walked into your place. It is beautiful and we felt totally spoiled but at home there. We really enjoyed the peaceful, quietness after a fun-filled day exploring the island. And the hawaiian music you had available was beautiful too. Thank you for letting us rent your place. We will always have fond memories of our 1st visit to Kauai. Manahalo!

It took us 9 years to return to your beautiful place on Kauai but it won't take that long again. Everything was just as we remembered it but even better this time. Your home feels like home to us and was in perfect condition as I had expected nothing less. The location within Poipu Sands is spectacular to say the least. We traveled and walked around much of the area. The pathways through the Poipu Kai resort are wonderful for those morning walks. We appreciate the ability to stay in your home and hope to again in the next year or more. The boys, well, young men, love the relaxed pace of Kauai so much. It was a perfect celebration for Ryan's graduation from college. Jason may be next. I came away with almost 300 pictures just from the area around the Poipu Sands resort area. Wonderful memories to get us by until we return. It is great having the availability of a Costco so close and Koloa was as fun as always. Thank you, Guy, Pat, Jason and Ryan

Vince and Fran, As always thank you so much for opening your beautiful home to us! We had another fantastic stay. The updates to your home are impeccable. Your unit is a perfect fit for our family, it is home away from home for sure. The views are spectacular, the grounds are manicured and all just steps to the ocean. Everything is child friendly, and the pool is great. We really enjoyed walking down to the ocean and watching the sea turtles in the surf. Our children loved walking to Shipwrecks and Poipu Beach to ride the waves. The location of Poipu Sands is just perfect. Everything is close, great shops, restaurants and our favorite Koloa town. We are always sad to leave but can't wait to return! Thank you again! Suzie, Tim, Bailey and Nicholas
