We are located in the Argyle-Greenwich-Salem are in the foothills of the Green Mountains. Cossayuna Lake covers 776 acres. It is 3 miles long and approximately 1 mile wide at widest point. It abounds with bass northern pike, yellow perch, sunfish, bullheads, and crappies, and has been stocked with Nor-lunge. This scenic lake is a popular resort offering swimming, boating, fishing and camping. We are approximately 30 minutes from Saratoga race track, and Lake George theme park.

My review comes approximately a month after myself and three of my family members stayed at this "Camp". We only stayed one night and we're so disgusted, left the next morning. The camps that are available to stay in have not been updated since 1950. They were extremely dirty, dead bugs on the floor, holes in window screens, the beds were at least 30 years old and extremely uncomfortable. I would have used my air mattress and slept on the floor but I really didn't want to put a brand new air mattress on the floor with the condition it was in. I actually tried to clean the camp myself with some clorox wipes but some of the dirt wouldn't even come off. The refrigerator in the camp was disgusting and had someone's old food in it when we arrived. The furniture was old and musty and was full of dust and dirt. The TV was not in working order. There was no grill available for us to use and the only fire pit that was available to us was right next to the Garbage Dumpster and smelled awful of rotting fish and garbage so there were no campfires to be had. The pool was a tint of green although there were other guests swimming in it. There were docks to fish from on premises but they were so rickety that I wouldn't even trust them to walk on them. There were small rowboats available to use but we did not choose to use them. THE WORST PART OF THIS CAMP EXPERIENCE was that we brought two dogs with us as it states "PET FRIENDLY". Well I can assure you that this place is the MOST PET UN-FRIENDLY place I have ever stayed. The owners complained that the dogs barked at them when they approached our camp late at night in the dark and told us that we would have to "shut the dogs up or I will shut them up or KILL THEM!!" He also told us that "he had duct tape and muzzles and we could use whatever we wanted to and whatever we thought was humane to get them to be quiet". He also stated that he had no knowledge of our bringing dogs with us even though I had printed e-mails between myself and the owner prior to our arrival stating that we would have dogs with us. This rental experience was the WORST EXPERIENCE my family and I have ever had. PLEASE do not get sucked in by the low rates and beautiful pictures as this place is far from what it looks like. Stick to the old addage: "If it looks too good to be true, it probably is"!! The price is even too high for the dumps these camps are in. We would have been better off sleeping in tents at a State Park. TERRIBLE
