Located in the outreaches of town, “Mystic Ridge” sits atop a hillside on the border between Blairsville in Union County, GA and the quaint little college town of Young Harris, Towns County, GA.
It’s remote enough to be removed from any traffic and noise, yet rests just beyond the gates of a private community of custom luxury log homes, with conveniences and shopping within a short 10 to 15 minute drive.
Nearby there are any number of activities and sights worth visiting in the area, none the least of which is pristine lake Nottely, a TVA regulated reservoir designed as a recreational lake for fishing, boating and water sports.
Each room has its own special theme & offers unexpected amenities & warming touches. The stunning views are visible from the covered porches; great-room or even better; from the custom made king size bed, elevated to allow an unobstructed view from between your toes every morning; with the added luxury of taking your coffee out on the private screened-in porch & sharing some of the most awesome sunsets you’ll ever see.
With 3 bedrooms & baths, one on each level, there's privacy for all & yet lots of open space in the great-room on the main level & the game room below. Also located on the lower level, is the playful and fun-themed “Bunkroom” with a full size bed below and a twin above, and a full bath.
The rooms on the main level are open to the cathedral ceilings above, as is the upper loft. The bedroom on the main has a comfy queen bed and the convenience of access to open living areas, bath and kitchen on the same level.
The Game room is complete with every amenity, full size Pool Table, fully equipped kitchen & drop-down “chuck wagon” style table & benches for dining or playing games. There’s a comfy seating area centered around the stacked stone/ gas log fireplace, with large flat-screen HD/TV mounted above & DVD/ stereo equipment & speakers built into little niches in the stone.
Just outside on the lower patio, there’s a luxurious Hot Tub with towel cart, dry bar & seating with steps leading up to the upper level barbecue/picnic area.
Entertaining is a dream come true, with a variety of settings from the porches & decks & Hot Tub, to the open patio/barbecue area off the side of the house with gas grill; perfect for open-pit fireside seating. 'Smores anyone? All along the steps & outdoor seating areas of the decks, patio & porches are little courtesy lights for ambiance & safety.
Convenient to whitewater rafting and kayaking just over the border in nearby Tennessee or North Carolina as well as unlimited water activities on Lake Nottely in Blairsville or Lake Chatuge in Hiawasse. Other nearby attractions are tubing in Helen, Cabbage Patch Doll Factory in Cleveland and Horseback riding in Blairsville.
You can pan for gems or gold or tour gold mines in historic Dahlonega; Hike the near-by Appalachian Trail, Tour the Vineyards of either of 2 area Wineries, visit scenic Vogel Park, Helton Falls, Ana Ruby Falls and many others, or Brasstown Bald, the highest mountain in Georgia. Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, home of the famous Fall Festival, is located just 20 minutes away.
