Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 1994

Ann started her first vacation rental in 1993 the small town of Arcata, in Northern California. Over the years she expanded to her home on Maui, and another studio in Arcata. Her daughters, Elly and Mary, have helped her design, furnish, decorate and manage her vacation homes. When not working on their vacation homes they enjoy traveling, hiking, backpacking, and rafting. Sharing their vacation homes has been a rewarding experience, with interesting and lively guests from all over the world.

Why the Owner Chose Arcata

Arcata is a lively university town, with Humboldt State bringing through great music and theater shows. There are coffee shops with poetry readings and local music, Brio Bakery with fresh baked goodies on plaza, and it's close to Redwood National Park with beautiful hiking trails through the redwoods. If you take scenic highway 299 east, you can enjoy the sunshine on the Trinity River, and whitewater rafting.

The Unique Benefits of this Private Room

While staying in this beautiful home you can visit with other guests and meet people from all over. You may meet your new best friend!
