French doors open onto a graceful patio, overlooking the yard and "greenbelt" behind the house. Modern kitchen appliances. Living areas include separate dining room, a large kitchen with breakfast counter, a spacious living room with fireplace, a family room with fireplace, three bedrooms, and 2000 square feet living space. Master bedroom has a Thera-rest king bed, a couch, an extra TV and an en suite bath. Oversized double garage. Pebble Beach is a secure, gated community with a large security force.

Why the Owner Chose Pebble Beach

We entertain family and friends here, and we occasionally use the home for vacation exchange with like-minded families. We maintain it with a great deal of pride. We live nearby on The Peninsula.

The Unique Benefits at this House

A spacious and quiet home. We enjoy the large, new patio when it's sunny, and the welcoming fireplaces and large living rooms when it's not! All Central Coast sports and activities are nearby, including golf (!!!) tennis, walking and riding. After a day or so of activities, you'll find the exquisite Inn at Spanish Bay a short stroll away. Don't forget the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Steinbeck Center in nearby Salinas. Summers are cool, with frequent morning fog (see photo). The area experiences mild winters and never freezes. Spring and fall can be sparkling, as are many summer afternoons. The home is in the "Country Club" area of Pebble Beach, adjacent to Pacific Grove. There is a small shopping center a short walk through the forest with a supermarket and a comfortable great local coffeehouse. Feeling lazy? Although the kitchen is beautifully equipped, "Dinner's Ready" in the center a few blocks away has top quality cuisine to take home. There's a taqueria there that'll match anything north of Guadalajara. Want to send the kids off for awhile? There's even a McDonalds nestled in the pines. Forest trails abound, and the coastal trail encircling the entire Monterey Peninsula is an easy walk from the house. We often walk to The Inn at Spanish Bay to sit by the open fires to listen to the bagpiper pipe down the sun as it sets over the links. For a longer walk, go to Lovers' Point via the former Southern Pacific railbed, now a forest path.

Would you like to entertain your family and friends here? You can present a lavish dinner with a full service of Villeroy and Boch porcelain, prepared in a fully equipped roomy kitchen with a complete set of modern cookware and other essentials. You and your guests can use the roomy living room / library for evening gatherings as well, and meander between the patio, family room and living rooms while you all enjoy warm fires in the two fireplaces.

I own an insurance agency in Monterey and live ten minutes from the house. I am a retired Navy pilot and an experienced home exchanger! My friends tell me I'm easy going and approachable. You will find me to be an eager host, should you have special requirements or need assistance. I maintain the property with pride and enthusiasm and I know you will be pleased.

    • What a great vacation. We could not have asked for more. The house was perfect and in a great location. We took advantage of the scenic trails and walks on the ocean. We toasted the sunset at Spanish Bay and had great happy hours outside on the patio. Sandy was a terrific host and he has thought of everything to make the stay first rate. What a great location.     • Two couples decided to vacation together and chose this lovely property in which to stay. The specifics: The beds were VERY comfortable with coordinated bedding; the kitchen was stocked awaiting only the corking of our personal beverage of choice; the birds sang to us in the morning with our coffee and in the evening during cocktail hour while we sat on the beautiful patio. The proximity is such that Pacific Grove and Monterey are only minutes south and Carmel and Big Sur the same going north. I HIGHLY recommend this property and its owner. Mr. Ford could not have been more pleasant or easier to deal with. We'll be back!

    • I want to thank the owner for a memorable holiday at his lovely house. I visted recently wih my parents and two little girls. It was very relaxing being so near the 17-mile drive, in this quiet and serene setting. The home is stocked with everything you need to be comfortable. But most importantly Sandy is a complete gentleman, and is most knowledgeable about the area. His helpful hints made us feel like residents even in our short stay here. Can't wait to be back!!

    • Wow, What a great location & easy to work with owner. We enjoyed walking to the Inn at Spanish Bay watching the bag piper at sundown, walking the trails along 17 Mile Dr. and walking to the store. You can't beat this location. Very comfortable home & the owner made sure we had everything we needed. We will be back.

    • Kudos to the owners of this residence for creating such a great home away from home for families! Location is within the exclusive 17 mile drive of Pebble Beach providing for beautiful views, peaceful walks and easy access to the rest of the Monterey Bay area. Interior of home is even better than described and captured in photos. The outside patio is perfect for morning coffee and dusk time glass of wine. Perfect (and safe!) for families with little ones. Kitchen is "over stocked" compared to most vacation homes and any cook will be pleased with the amenities. Lastly, the price is extremely reasonable and owners easy to work with. We hope this home is available on our next trip...

    • Abosolutely Wonderful Home! Much better option than the resorts on the peninsula. "Coffee on the patio in pajamas" type of relaxation. Great location, quiet and beautiful. Owner is extremely gracious and attentive to all of our needs. Highly reccomended!

    • We previously stay on a regular basis at Spanish Bay, nice hotel with an oceanfront room, but in the end its a room with 2 beds. We stayed at this residence for a week in July, plenty of room for the 4 of us, quiet neighborhood and easy access to many things and nearby cities, we'd stay again
