A quick fishing excursion or a leisurely float are always a minute away. Grab an icecream cone for the ride at The Village Cone...just a 1 minute walk away. Evening camp fires are enjoyed in your private fire pit area with unlimited fire wood.
Your kids will not be bored at Lumberjack Village!! While you are on the dock reading the kids can walk to the ice cream shop...the mini golf course...they can even sign up for a logrolling lesson with the Hayward Logrolling school. Downtown Hayward is a nice 10 minute walk...the Hayward Cinema 4 is a five minute walk!
These beautiful Lumberjack Village Cabins (we have two) are brand new to the Hayward lodging market...they are just now being made available to the public!! Be one of the first to enjoy all the convenience of this wonderful location and these brand new hand hewn log cabins. These cozy cabins have all wood-knotty pine interiors with wood floors throughout. Bedrooms have custom made log beds with new mattresses. Kitchen appliances are brand new Kenmore brand.
Located on Lake Hayward, this charming four season log cabin is one of two rental cabins that are part of the Lumberjack Village. Lumberjack Village Cabins is a perfect retreat for the Hayward area visitor who wants to be on a lake but not too far from the fun and action of Hayward itself. An easy walk to restaurants, shops and the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, cabin rental includes 4 tickets to Scheer’s Lumberjack Shows and 4 passes to the Lumberjack Village Mini-Golf both located on the site. The cabin’s private docks on Lake Hayward provide a perfect spot to fish, read or just relax and enjoy the evening solitude. Picnic area, complete with gas grill and fire pit with free firewood is reserved for cabin guests. Cabin guests have exclusive use of the canoe and paddleboat for exploring Lake Hayward.
Linens and towels are provided for your use, along with a fully equipped kitchen. The upstairs level of the cabin has two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, one with two twins, and a full bath with tub/shower combination. Main floor has a half bath. The open living space on the main floor includes a full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and range. A freestanding gas fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere on chilly fall evenings and supplements the central heat during the winter months. Large deck off the main floor faces the lake; a perfect respite for morning coffee or evening “Happy hour."
Hayward, with its World Class events, wireless inter-net cafes, shopping, groceries, golfing, boat and bike rentals, bakery, wine cellars, art galleries, live theaters and hiking trails has been a favorite of Wisconsin vacationers for generations.

Wasn't sure what to expect when coming to Hayward but we LOVED it! The cabins are set on the outskirts of town, just far enough away! Nice cabins too Very clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable and we had lots of room. Loved grilling out on the deck, firepit with benches for roasting marshmallows while looking at the night sky - WOW! My girls caught quite a few nice crappies on the paddle boats too. The Scheers Lumberjack Show was a big hit along with the ice cream! Yummy! The Scheers are great people who will help to make your stay very enjoyable and comfortable. The will make sure your stay is everything you want! We will be seeing you again - for sure!

We stayed here over 4th of July weekend. We booked about a week before, so there were limited options available in the area. The owner contacted me via phone the same day I inquired about the property. She described the cabin and facilities accurately, although I would say the cabin is not as off the beaten path as she lead me to believe. We stayed in the "Rest-a-While" Cabin with our 2 kids and dog. The cabin was roomy, clean, well equipped and everything was in working order (no DVD's or dishwasher detergent though). The description and pictures are accurate. The kids loved the paddle boat and row boat, mini golf (included and across the street). The Lumberjack show was a big hit with my kids (9 & 12) We enjoyed eating on the deck and used the fire pit (unlimited wood thanks to those hardworking lumberjacks!) The cabin was much closer to the Lumberjack village than we thought; it is connected to the path system and next to an Edina Realty office. Occasionally people walked to our end, but since that was the front of the cabin it wasn't a big deal. It was very quiet Saturday afternoon after the Lumberjack show and in the evenings. Everyone (rental folks, employees in restaurant and ice cream shop) was very friendly. All in all it was a pleasant stay. If you want a secluded northwoods experience, this is not the place for you. If you want to be within walking distance to mini golf, go-karts, restaurants & bars then you will be very pleased with the location. Downtown Hayward is about a 10 minute walk away.
