Quiet and peaceful is the best description for this comfortable and homey cottage situated on Togus Pond. Approximately 900 sq. ft. of living space with about 900 sq. ft. of garage below. Nestled in a quiet cove it has a shallow, sandy bottomed wading area that's great for kids to splash around in. Fishing variety consists of perch, bass, and brown trout. A 3-lb. trout was just caught over the June 6th, 2009 weekend! Don't miss out on some great fishing! Listen to the loons, watch for the eagles and wild turkey, and enjoy gorgeous views from the private one-acre lot with plenty of waterfront, a boat dock and mooring. Enjoy the aluminum row boat, pontoon boat or the two kayaks that are available on site. Low boat traffic which is probably why the fishing is so excellent here! Plenty of life jackets on site. Has a swing and fire pit set up lakeside also. This cottage has all the conveniences from the cooking spices to a large gas grill and electric cooler for the drinks. There is plenty of fire wood on site too. Approx. 400+ sq. ft. of deck overlooks the water. No washer and dryer.
Sleeps 6 - 8. Best fit if 4 - 6 adults with some children. One full size bed, two queen sized and a trundle bed which can be used as a single or folded out as a double. No smoking firm. Pets negotiable with a separate deposit. No cable or satellite. Equipped with DVD, VCR, and movies. Games and books on site. No phone service but cell phone friendly with good reception. Access to lake association boat launch is close by with a $10 fee for unlimited usage during your stay. Plenty of availability time as this vacation home is new to the current season. Why the Owner Chose Augusta
Augusta is our state's capital with so much to offer and soooo much to do. Togus Pond is a private area with little boat traffic. It is rich with beauty and fishing in both the summer months and ice fishing and snowmobiling in the winter. It is quiet and peaceful and so nice to share this space with the loons and other wildlife. The sandy beach by the dock is great for swimming.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
It is private down in back of the cottage by the water. The neighbors on the road are the best. Everyone is considerate of one another and helpful when need be.

I am a native Mainer and very proud to live in this great state. My husband, Scott, and I love to fish which is why Togus Pond is so special. It is rich with brown trout and bass. We love our oceans, lakes and streams here in Maine very much and have a deep, profound respect for it and its beauty. I am an administrator by trade and Scott is a great carpenter.
