Kate & I both grew up in Oregon....many years ago. We've traveled the country but always come back to the Great Pacific Northwest. When we saw this area, Brightwood, with the Sandy river winding through it and being just minutes from the ski area & 25 minutes to Portland we said said to each other "this is the place". The sound of the river rushing by, The lush, green, vegetation all seem to cradle the beautiful log home nestled in the midst......The perfect relaxation prescription.
Why the Owner Chose Mount Hood
Being Oregonians, we love the outdoors, fishing, skiing, hiking etc., The location of this property was so convenient to Mt. Hood & Portland that it made complete sense to Kate & I. And, it's such an incredible experience we'd like to share it with others.
The Unique Benefits of this Log Home
When we open up the 8' tall, 16' wide glass doors to the river, the sound flows through the home, very relaxing. The Log home has 2 identical Master suites on the main level which makes it perfect for 2 families (and there's plenty of room upstairs for kids.) Upstairs you'll find a bath, 2 bedrooms, family room & den. Being located just 50' from the banks of the Sandy river to the West, Hackett creek (a Salmon spawning tributary) to the North & a big Beaver pond to the East. There are many lakes in the area to hike, ski & fish.
