Carolina Dreamin" is located in the private community of Ocean Sands, with wide sandy beaches, and with a beach life guard for your protection (in season) The beach is only "250 ft" from your front door. Community pool and two tennis courts are available for your family. Golfing at the Currituck Club (less that 1/2 mile). Carolina Dreamin' has been remodeled and tastefully decorated. It is provided with all your family would need for their beach vacation. Featuring a new fully equipped kitchen: dishwasher, garbage disposal, refrigerator with ice indoor, electric range, toaster, blender and a full compliment of cooking utensils. New Air Conditioner in 2009. "Ask us about mini-vacations for the fall" Take advantage of three or four day getaways to relax at the beach.
TOP LEVEL Loft with two twin beds overlooks the great room with vaulted ceiling, ceiling fan, large dining table, sofa with full sized sleeper bed, TV unit that houses DVD, VCR, and CD player. Selection or games movies and books. On one side of the great room is a sunny kitchen on the other a sliding door opens to balcony equipped with table and chairs. Ideal for relaxing and viewing that beautiful sunset or a peak at the ocean.
MIDDLE LEVEL has master bedroom with Queen bed and Private Bath, TV with DVD & VCR. Second bedroom with Queen bed. Third bedroom with trundle bed (two singles). Washer and Dryer, Second bathroom
LOWER LEVEL has storage for beach equipment(chairs and shade cover) and exit to parking. Outside bar-b-que grill, outside shower with hot water, fish cleaning table.

Year Purchased: 2001
Welcome to Carolina Dreamin" We are Dick and Dove Barton. Our townhouse is named Carolina Dreamin because it always was a dream to have a cottage on the Outer Banks or OBX as we call it. In 2001 that dream came true. But that was only the beginning. Our townhouse need a little TLC since it had not been updated since 1969. We set about renovating and updating. It has been a labor of love and we have tried to renovate and decorate with needs of our guests in mind.
Why the Owner Chose Ocean Sands, Section F
The beauty and serenity of the wide sandy beaches of Corolla first attracted us to the area. The friendliness of everyone we met encouraged us to stay. The ease of reaching a beautiful beach. We live on the VA peninsula only 2 1/2 hrs away. The uniqueness of the historic Currituck Lighthouse and the Wild Mustangs of the Outer Banks. When we first came in 2001 you could see the Mustangs, the symbol of the Outer Banks, on the dunes and beaches of Ocean Sands. They can now be seen on one of the Wild Mustang tours. They have been relocated for their own protection to the Wild Horse Sanctuary (in the 4 wheel drive area) to the North of Corolla
The Unique Benefits of this Townhouse
You'll find our townhouse is an easy walk to the beach. You can hear the surf from our deck or let it lull you to sleep at night, without the oceanfront prices. A community pool just outside your door (about 15 ft.) gives you the amenity of pool without the price. We are hands on owners who come down often to check things out. We want our guests to have a home away from home that they want to come to again and again. We vacation here too and our family has made many happy memories here. We hope you do too.

We had an awsome week. The location is amazing and such a very short distance to the beach. This was perfect for us taking 3 kids to the beach every day. The pool is a wonderful addition to the stay as well.

We certainly enjoyed our stay at the Outer Banks. It was our first visit and we are hooked! Carolina Dreamin was a good value for the money. I was looking for something smaller for just our family of 5. I wanted something simple and small with a good location. The proximity to the pool and ocean were great. The pool was very clean and the decking around it was new and very nice. Being able to walk to the beach in 2-3 minutes was very nice--especially with a 16 month-old in tow! And the ocean peaks from the balcony were nice as well. Overall, if you are looking for something smaller and simple for a good price, Carolina Dreamin definitely meets those needs.
