Carolina Dreamin' is a fabulous townhouse located in the Private Posted Community of Ocean Sands, Section F. The location couldn't be better. Located right in the center of Corolla close to everything. Just a 2 minute walk and you will be on the wide sandy beach. Enjoy a mile of undeveloped ocean front to the North of Section F. Relax on your private beach with Life Guard for your protection during the Summer season. Access to our community is restricted to owners and their guests with regular security patrols.

You don't need to walk for blocks, carting all your beach things to get to the beach. Just a short walk up to the boardwalk then over the dune to the beach. You can hear the ocean from the balcony and bedrooms of Carolina Dreamin'
Two bedrooms have Queen sized beds with posturpedic mattresses. These bedrooms also have TV's with expanded cable service. One of the bedrooms is a master with it's own bath. The other bedroom on that floor has a trundle bed, twin bed and a pull out twin bed.
One thing we love is the balcony. It's wide open view of beautiful sky, with a little ocean view between the houses. In the evening sit out and watch the fabulous sunsets. You have a dining table with chairs, so you can enjoy meals or just a cup of coffee on the balcony. There are also are 4 comfortable lounge chairs to enjoy.

I was raised on the beaches of South Flordia and had always wanted to get back 'to the beach'. We found this townhouse in rundown condition, but you couldn't beat the location. We made it into a beach house to love. We treat Carolina Dreamin' as our second home not 'just a rental property'. Every year improvements and upgrades are done. Our philsophy is to provide a home away from home that you would truly enjoy.

TOP LEVEL Loft with two twin beds overlooks the great room with vaulted ceiling, ceiling fan, large dining table, sofa with full sized sleeper bed, TV unit that houses DVD, VCR, and CD player. Selection of games movies and books is provided. On one side of the great room is a sunny kitchen. On the other side, a sliding door opens to the balcony equipped with tables and chairs. Ideal for relaxing and viewing that beautiful sunset or a peak at the ocean. Are you ready for that good book? Sit on the balcony with endless views of the sky and the surf sound in your ears.....get out your book and enjoy!
MIDDLE LEVEL has master bedroom with queen bed, posturpedic mattress, and private bath. Two windows for that open feeling. TV with expanded cable is in the armoir with DVD & VCR player
Next door is the second bedroom with queen sized bed with posturpedic mattress. It boasts your TV and DVD player. Great for relaxing at the end of a big day out.
Third bedroom with trundle bed (two singles). is at the top of the stairs.
Second bathroom and washer/dryer conviently located on this level. there is also a close line out side for easy drying of towels and bathing suits.
LOWER LEVEL has storage for beach equipment(quality beach chairs and rolling cooler) and exit to parking.
OUTSIDE near entry door is a bar-b-que grill, outside shower with hot water, fish cleaning table.
Other amenities you will enjoy: 6 quality beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach toys for children and a rolling cooler. Also in the house: security baby gate, high chair, porta crib, pack and play, and play pen (I'll bet you haven't seen one of these in a while) Wi-fi for you convenience.

My husband, myself and our 2 children (11 & 8) stayed here recently. We have never been to the OBX and had no idea what to expect, we have never "rented" a place on VRBO.com either. We were wonderfully surprised. The townhome was perfect for us, the townhome is dog friendly, but unfortunately once our van was packed, we didn't have enough room for our dog!!! There was plenty of room in the townhome and all the ammenities we could need, we didn't swim in the pool, the temp outside and pool temp was too chilly, but the very short walk to the ocean was all we wanted anyway. Only had one complaint with the carpet smelling like dog urine in the loft, but there were 3 other bedrooms, so the children slept in one of those instead. I emailed the owner Dove immediately and she responded promptly, we could have had the carpets cleaned while we were there, but since it was such a short stay and we had the other bedrooms we were ok. Dove was amazing to work with, answered all e-mails promptly, sent a lovely map of the area, great directions, just a pleasure to work with. We have officially become fans of the OBX and will be back again in 2 years hopefully at this same property ;) Thanks Dove for providing a great place for our first family vacation!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time at this beautifully decorated townhome in Ocean Sands! It was wonderful to be so close to the beach! My husband, daughter, myself and our dog would love to vacation here again! *We had hoped to vacation this summer 2012 - but waited too long to book, no weeks left for us. :(Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners.

The townhouse location was perfect. So close to the beach, what we always wanted. We are a single family not renting with other families, so this was an execellent price for us. The doggie enjoyed the porch. She would sun herself and watch the people walking to the beach. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is nicely remolded. Kitchen is well stocked. Bathrooms are roomy. It was good to have room in both bathrooms with 2 teenage girls. Dealing directly with the owner,( who I would like to say was so on the ball, directions, booking, I never had such wonderful service with any realtor) made it so easy for us. I highly recomend Carolina Dreaming.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We stayed at Carolina Dreamin' the week of June 19th, 2011 with another couple and kiddies. We had so much fun with our children at the (pool right behind the townhome)...so convenient for quick cool offs! The beach was just a minute walk. The north/northeast facing deck was very relaxing in the morning and evening with nice views of the ocean. Kid friendly being so close to pool and beach along with hi chair, baby gate and pack n play. Good value for great fun!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

We are regulars at the Outer bank beaches, but this was our first time in Corolla. Carolina Dreamin is a very conveniently located house, and was exactly what we were looking. We were not disappointed; the house is very well equipped, is clean and comfortable. It has an excellent view of the ocean from the balcony. If you are looking for a place a few steps from the pool and two minute-walk to the beach this is the place to choose. Groceries are just across the street, and that is a plus.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners.

My husband, daughter, and I had never been to the Outer Banks, and we were looking for something close to the beach and affordable for our small family. Carolina Dreamin' was perfect! It was easy to walk to the beach with our toddler and we enjoyed grilling and hanging out at the house, too. The house was clean and comfortable, and the owners responded quickly during the planning process when we inquired about different aspects of the property.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

We certainly enjoyed our stay at the Outer Banks. It was our first visit and we are hooked! Carolina Dreamin was a good value for the money. I was looking for something smaller for just our family of 5. I wanted something simple and small with a good location. The proximity to the pool and ocean were great. The pool was very clean and the decking around it was new and very nice. Being able to walk to the beach in 2-3 minutes was very nice--especially with a 16 month-old in tow! And the ocean peaks from the balcony were nice as well. About the owner: Welcome to Carolina Dreamin' We are Dick and Dove Barton. Our townhouse is named Carolina Dreamin because it always was a dream to have a cottage on the Outer Banks or OBX as we call it. In 2001 that dream came true. But that was only the beginning. Our townhouse need a little TLC since it had not been updated since 1969. We set about renovating and updating. It has been a labor of love and we have tried to renovate and decorate with needs of our guests in mind.
Why the Owner Chose Ocean Sands, Section F:
The beauty and serenity of the wide sandy beaches of Corolla first attracted us to the area. The friendliness of everyone we met encouraged us to stay. The ease of reaching a beautiful beach. We live on the VA peninsula only 2 1/2 hrs away. The uniqueness of the historic Currituck Lighthouse and the Wild Mustangs of the Outer Banks. When we first came in 2001 you could see the Mustangs, the symbol of the Outer Banks, on the dunes and beaches of Ocean Sands. They can now be seen on one of the Wild Mustang tours. They have been relocated for their own protection to the Wild Horse Sanctuary (in the 4 wheel drive area) to the North of Corolla

You'll find our townhouse is an easy walk to the beach. You can hear the surf from our deck or let it lull you to sleep at night, without the oceanfront prices. A community pool just outside your door (about 15 ft.) gives you the amenity of pool without the price. We are hands on owners who come down often to check things out. We want our guests to have a home away from home that they want to come to again and again. We vacation here too and our family has made many happy memories here. We hope you do too.
