This is a great place for a family to rent. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach. We walked to town and also biked. They owner was very pleasant and provided everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The place was clean and well stocked with linens and the kitchen had everything you would need. There were bicycles and ping pong. Everything was well maintained and we had a fun family retreat. I would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends and will stay here again if planing another trip to Pacific City.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

This place was perfect! We had an amazing time - plenty of space with everything we needed. We totally recommend this place and can't wait to come back. We didn't have the best weather while we were there, but did score one day of sun. The house is well equipped - we had plenty to do indoors and the game room was an added bonus. Can't wait to come back in the Summer! Thanks for a great vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house was absolutely amazing!! Plenty of open space for kids and adults to be in the same room while hanging out, playing, cooking....whatever.....was really nice to have the garage area for kids to get away for awhile. Short walk to the beach - plenty of towels and toys for the beach. One upstairs bedroom and bathroom and two downstairs and bathroom for plenty of privacy.....would totally rent this house again. Owner was great to work with and everything was as listed....we lucked out with great weather so spent a lot of time at the beach but if it had rained we could have been just as happy to find things to do at the house......Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for your comments Phyllis! So happy you enjoyed our home! I can't wait to get down there this month too. Come back!

The house is gorgeous and comfortable. We were never able to get the fireplace lit and it took some adjusting of the water heater to be able to utilize the jacuzzi tub. Saw the deer, who did come quite close, but our excited kids scared them away. Very close to beach...nice location. A pleasant experience all in all...Thank you..we will most likely be back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks Jen. Sorry about the hot water....there were high winds that tripped several breakers in the neighborhood just prior to your arrival! Glad you were able to reset the breaker. Do come back and we'll pay for your cleaning!

I would highly recommend this house for your next getaway. We went for a relaxing weekend to the coast and couldn't have been happier with our choice to rent this house. Never again will we stay in a hotel. This house is full of light, has all the comforts of home, and is very peaceful. Just a short walk from the house and you are on the beach. We walked the beach each morning, grabbed a coffee at Stimulus, and slowly made our way back to the house to make our own breakfast. As a family of four, we had more than enough room. Could easily accomadate a larger group and not feel restricted. The weekend went faster than we wanted and we certainly did not want to leave.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Brian, thanks for your comments. So glad you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for taking great care of our home. Please come back soon! Terry

We recently stayed at the open and bright beach house and loved it! We have rented a lot of beach houses up and down the coast and with so many extra things in the house it became one of our favorites. We Loved the openness of the kitchen dining and living room area. The garage/game room area was awesome too! Ping pong , x box, board games, movies and even boxes of toys that kept our 4 year old busy while I curled up and relaxed with a book. :) The location is really nice too. The beach is just a few minutes away, there are paved trails nearby for walking or riding bikes and you can walk almost anywhere in town in 10 minutes. Our kids loved the beach in Pacific City over any we have visited. The sand dune was fun to climb and the view was beautiful! We saw whales and some of the most incredible sunsets ever with haystack rock and Cape Kiwanda. Lincoln city and the outlet mall are only about 40 minutes away if you want to shop. We visited the Pelican pub, wine tasting at basket wines, and had lots of tillimook ice cream cones at the market. So, if you are looking for the perfect " family friendly" beach house we would recommend this place. Even if you don't have children, this would make a great get a way for a couple as it has a Gas fireplace, jetted hot tub, etc.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks Bill! So happy you enjoyed our home. Thanks for taking great care of it during your stay! Cheers!

We were very pleased with our stay in this P.C. home. The layout afforded multiple conversations and activities, yet everyone remained connected. The kitchen can handle multiple cooks, and the dining table opens up to seat 10. Since most of us like our own bed, we brought inflatables and were able to fit them in the rec room and living room without any problems. The driveway accommodates six cars. It was a bit of a walk to the beach access, but there's also a lovely "hidden" trail that wanders from the north end of Sea Swallow Road, through a natural area in the neighboring development and up to the top of a dune.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Year Purchased: 2002
About the owner: Our family built this 1600 sq. ft. Chalet style home in 2002. Having rented for years, we custom designed a very open, light and airy home that stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. With one of Oregon's best surfing beaches just a 3 minute walk away and ample hiking, fishing, boating and biking surrounding this gated community, we have grown to love our family time spent at the beach. Upon entering our home, you can feel your pulse slow as you quickly transition to 'vacation time.' We are pleased to share our stress reducing home with you in this sleepy little beach town.
Why the Owner Chose Pacific City:
It is off the beaten path, has multiple opportunities for recreation, quality restaurants and is truly a place for respite.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Very short walk to beach. Light and open floor plan allows for comfortable family gatherings. Only noise you hear is the ocean!
