Very Positive Stay
I live in NY and frequently visit San Diego for both business and leisure. I have stayed in hotels for all my visits with the exception of my last one. I've always had reservations with vacation rentals, but decided to give it a try I have used the condo in Alicante when I last visited San Diego with my family. It was truly a positive experience The neighborhood -An abundance of good restaurants with a lot of character in the immediate area. -Really close to Balboa park The condo -The place is as advertised, I did find the condo bigger than what the online pictures made it appear. -The views are great -Being a hotel stayer, I have a very high standard on interior details. I was not dissapointed. The place is in immaculate order. The broker/agent.....worked with Pam Hart -Great attention to detail -Acted as a virtual concierge during our stay -Very easy to deal with Overall, the town that we have visited a lot felt more like home. Thanks to a large part to this place. We will definitely be staying again for our next visit.

Building's location was very convenient. Very easy access on/off freeway, close to restaurants, supermarkets, coffee shops, etc. Nice central location for your family vacation in San Diego. The actual apartment's furnishings were a bit outdated. Carpet could use replacing. Bath mats were old. Other than that, the apartment was nice and spacious. The outdoor lanais pictured were very small, not like in the pictures. I would recommend bringing your own towels and blankets if possible. TVs were extremely tiny and mounted high up making it very hard to watch tv, reminded me of a hospital room. Would have been nice to have a nice tv to unwind to at night. The property manager was sub par based on my experiences. She was difficult to communicate with over email and not friendly over the phone. Maybe the age gap (30-40 years) accounted for our miscommunications. I was assured that I would get my security deposit back within 21 days but it took 30. Other rentals return security deposit within a week. They even charge 3.5% per credit card transaction, EVEN WHEN REFUNDING SECURITY DEPOSIT! Bottom line, it was nicely priced compared to a hotel room(s). For the price, it's a good deal. Would I repeat? I personally wouldn't but my first nine choices were all booked and this was the cheapest of the nine by far so my expectations are probably too high for this rental anyway. For the price, this is a great rental.
