Our vacation home was built in 2001 and is ideally and centrally located. It is just 10 miles north of Charlottetown, on the North Shore, near the National Park. It was formerly a B&B (Bradley Inn) and now the entire property is available for weekly rentals. All seven bedrooms are very large and have en-suite bathrooms. Golfing groups really appreciate all the showers when getting ready for their sunrise tee-off times. Discounted rates are available at nearby Stanhope Golf Course, which has been ranked in the top 100 courses in Canada.
Breath-taking beaches are nearby. You can kayak to Blooming Point and enjoy the warm Gulf water and beautiful red sand dunes. We supply beach towels and chairs, umbrellas, picnic coolers, sand toys, bocce balls and kites.
PEI National Park, with beautiful beaches, nature hikes, nature talks, biking paths, lighthouses and fishing harbors are minutes away. We will supply a Park Pass for your car.
After
a day on the golf course,
or exploring some of the best beaches in the world,
or deep-sea fishing for giant bluefin tuna,
or fishing in island streams for trout or salmon,
or “shooting the Morell” in a kayak,
or biking along the Confederation Trail,
or a fun day at Sandspit Amusement Park and Lucy Maud’s Cavendish,
or exploring quaint Victoria-By-The-Sea or Georgetown,
or a day in historic Charlottetown with live theatre, food festivals, music concerts, walking tours, horse-drawn carriage rides, harness racing, a casino, cooking classes, spas, shopping, fine dining and Cows ice cream,
return to Winter Bay and your home-away-from-home.
Watch foxes playing on the lawn, eagles soaring overhead, mussel boats on the bay, or practice your chip shots to the golf flags on our large lawn. Guests have also enjoyed the lawn for football, Tae Kwon Do lessons, kite flying, and Frisbee. Relax with a good book or a game of scrabble by the gas fireplace. Soak in the double whirlpool tub. Enjoy videos or satellite TV in the large media room with its 10-foot screen, or relax on Adirondack chairs and rockers on the large porch to watch the sun set over Winter Bay. Star gazing is amazing from the front lawn.
Common rooms are large, so the whole group can gather for dinner, movie nights, game night, or a “kitchen party.” Our dining room can seat 18 or more. Guests often hire a caterer for a special evening. We can suggest an incredible chef who will prepare a fabulous Island meal and clean up on his way out.
Our home has been used for destination weddings and also for hosting wedding guests. The house could be used for a small wedding reception, or a tent could be sent up on the front lawn for a larger group.
