Why the Owner Chose Mission Hills
We have 2 other vacation rentals (#176006 & #181407) and have had such great success with them that we were trying to find the next best opportunity out there. Mission Hills on the Presidio has got to be one of the most beautiful places in San Diego. When this home became available on the rental market, we spoke with the owners, showed them our 2 other vacation rental properties and through negotiation, we are now happy to say that we have a great Monterey Spanish Style home we can call our third vacation rental.

Thanks Bob! What a treat to be the first to stay in your new property! It was an adult weekend without kids and it was just what we needed. The house accommodated 8 adults perfectly. We enjoyed yummy food in Old Town, easy access to the trolley for 2 baseball games at Petco, a day at Mission Beach and views of fireworks from Presido Park at the end of the street. The house was great for hanging out in the backyard with coffee in the morning and barbequing in the evening. The house had everything we needed and Bob was great to work with. We had a wonderful time and can not wait until the next time. We will be back.
Owner response:We think you enjoyed everything that this home has to offer. The proximity to the places you visited is key because it allows ample time to relax while seeing the sites. Take care & hope to see you again!

What a wonderful time we had staying in this fantastic house. Our host Bob was exceptional throughout and was able to accomnodate some last minute changes we had to our plans...Bob even met us at the house on a Sunday night and gave us a tour of the house so we could easily settle in and use everything that was on offer straight away. The House ws exeactly as the photo's show and the Mission Hills area was wonderful and very safe.We were a group of 6...Grandparents, Parents, and two grown children and the house suited all of our needs perfectly and we welcome the opportunity to reccomend this property to future travellers. The Old San Diego town was lierally at the bottom of the hill and many delightful restuarnts and tourist sites are available here for all to enjoy. Thank you Bob for making this leg of our American holiday so memorable
Owner response:It was so great to meet you!! Thank you for your kind, kind words and hope you are able to visit with us again in the future. Maybe we'll contact you for a few tips if we ever venture your way to Australia. Take care for now.

My son now calls it "Bob's House". We had a great time, the house is impeccably kept and we found everything we needed there. From soap to towel to coffee to shaving cream! It's greatly located especially for those looking to be near kids' attractions. It is also close to everything else we wanted to see/visit too. The owner is really nice and responsive. We would definitely go back!
Owner response:It was great to meet you and we would be delighted to have you back again. Thanks so much!

We had such a great time in San Diego at your house for two full months and it seemed to us that all that time was not enough... This home was incredible well located, all the Presidio areas, the park and the neighborhood are amazing, and the neighborhood was really calm and safe. The house is also close to all attractions, beaches, restaurants, supermarkets, so it was a pleasure living for two months in the house and to enjoy all its surroundings. We certainly felt at home. It had everything that we needed, and it was tastefully and comfortable furnished. We also had plenty of time to relax at the beautiful and private backyard of the house, barbecuing almost every day and hanging out at the garden ... Sleeping very comfortably, secure and exhausted after enjoying every single hour of the day. I can say that these have been the most memorable family vacations we have ever had. Truly unforgettable! And Bob it was really nice to deal with you, thanks so much for always being available when we ever needed.
Owner response:It is our pleasure and certainly hope to have you back again real soon!!

The house was a lovely bolt hole for our family whilst spending two weeks in San Diego. All was as described and very comfortable. We appreciated having the garden area to chill out either before or after a busy day. The location was fantastic as everything we wanted to do was within a 15 minute drive. Bob didn't meet us but gave clear and accurate instructions on how to enter and use the house. The only thing missing was a kettle but that was probably just a Brit thing! We snorkeled and kayaked in La Jolla, did boat trips and a speedboat excursion in San Diego bay, a Chargers game at Qualcomm, visited Seaworld and the Zoo and had lots of great meals including one on top of a skyscraper downtown! Overall thank you Bob for helping make our San Diego visit so good. We will recommend you to our UK friends.
Owner response:Thank you!! Take care and hope to have you back again some day!

Our family came to San Diego for a family wedding on Coronado island. Although our visit was a short, five-day stay, we loved our accommodations in this lovely, stately home. Bob was great and was always just a phone call away whenever we needed to be in touch. Our flight arrived late in the evening, so it was helpful to find the list of recommended restaurants that Bob provided. We really appreciated this well-built home with its period details. It is tastefully and comfortably furnished. Each master bedroom has a large TV. The king size bed was comfortable, and the master suite bath with the skylight was awesome. Enjoyed the nice shower head and strong water pressure--much appreciated after a round of golf! The bathrooms could each use a box of tissues. It was the only item that the amenities did not include, which we picked up at the store--no biggie. The floors were squeaky clean, no dust at all. We loved the patio and the privacy the yard offered. We didn't use the grill, but I could see how perfect the private yard is for family gatherings. We walked to the nearby park--the neighborhood and views are gorgeous. Probably the best compliment I can relate from a family member--He said, "After being here a few hours, this home feels just like home, and so familiar..." Highly recommend and would come back in a flash if visiting the area. Thanks!
Owner response:Thanks so much for "ALL" your kind words. Take care and hope to see you again real soon!

We had the pleasure of staying the weekend of April 16th through the beginning of the week this year and it was wonderful. Bob was there to meet us and everything was as promised. He was also nice enough to accomodate our arrival/departure time, and was always there when we called regarding any assistance that was needed prior to our stay. It is a wonderful convenient location, and our family had a lovely time. If you don't have car, it is within walking distance to the train but there is an uphill climb. However, the house is on a lovely hill with wonderful views and a park nearby. Secluded, yet very convenient. I liked having the closeness of the city, restaurant, but my own sanctuary.
Owner response:It's so great to hear how truly nice your stay was. Take care and hope to see you again.

We just returned from a week long family vacation in San Diego. We were happy to find this home that so comfortably accommodated our family with 6 adults and 2 young children. Bob was a pleasure to work with and the home was the perfect location to see all the incredible San Diego sites. Bob made sure that we had all that we needed to make our stay comfortable including a pack and play and booster seat. As a parent, it is the little things like this that make a big difference. The home has 3 large bedrooms upstairs with the most comfortable beds. So comfortable in fact that my family has asked that I get the mattress brand and model from Bob so they can look in to getting one for themselves! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook some great meals (a few more mixing bowls would be good). The only complaint we had and it is very minor is the dust in the house. The floors needed a good dust mopping. Other than that, everything was great. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home! We can't wait for our next trip to San Diego.
Owner response:Thanks so much for your review! Funny enough, we had purchased more mixing bowls as well as some other household items for the home and they are now in the house! As far as dust levels, we truly make a point of getting under every piece of furniture, (beds, dressers etc) with the departure of every guest. The longer the stay as well as the amount of people who stay, the more the dust accumulates very quickly. Especially with wood floors throughout the home. We'll keep striving to keep up with what every guest leaves behind. Take care.

Bob was very accommodating and understanding about our late arrival – a very pleasant person to deal with! We had a great time in this home. It was more spacious than what we really needed (2 adults and 2 two-year olds) - the master and second bedrooms are very large and we felt it would be great to have another couple join us next time. We loved the master bathroom – the shower pressure was fantastic and the kids loved the extra large tub (4’ x 5’ was like a little pool for them). The kitchen was well equipped and we were lucky enough to have nice weather so we made use of the nice patio most days. My only piece of constructive feedback is about dust in the house. Having toddlers, and also because I do yoga each day, I spend a lot of time on the floor and was surprised by the amount of dust that had accumulated under the beds/furniture (also on shutters). I do have dust allergies and did have some minor issues in this regard by the end of the week. However, I should emphasize that the house was well kept and clean elsewhere. All that being said, the many positives of this house outweighed my only criticism above. And as I said before, Bob is efficient and really nice to deal with. The kids keep asking if we can go to Bob’s house again!
Owner response:Thanks so much and glad things turned out great for you!

House is well decorated and clean. The location is great (Old Town few blocks away, easy access to the beach/zoo/downtown/etc.). Beds are comfy, kitchen well stocked (both dishes/pots and spices). Working with Bob was a breeze.
