Panguitch Lake Cabin
Year Purchased: 2007
Why the Owner Chose Panguitch Lake
The high elevation offers nice relief from the summer heat. Panguitch Lake has great fishing, and the proximity to Dixie Forest is great for hunting in the fall (on the far end of the lake). Year-round access allows us to have a get away for the holidays and a place to stay when we go skiing at Brian Head.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Being off the main lake frontage road is quiet and private, but with plenty of views and things to do. Plus, there are a few deer that stay right around the cabin and are frequently just outside the door. We can bring our horses & ATV, and there are tons of trails to ride.
Owner's Map of Panguitch Lake
One of our favorite activities is riding horses on our family ranch near White Bridge Campground.

Our group of 7 just returned from a 4 day stay at this property. We have rented several times using VRBO and this was by far the best place we have ever found, it was incredible! We arrived to find the cabin clean and well maintained. As we unpacked we were impressed with how well stocked it is with most all necessities. The beds are very comfortable and it is decorated nicely. Another great thing about this cabin is it's location as there is a ton of activities nearby. The lake/fishing is obviously a big draw, and there are boat rentals in close proximity. There is also a store fairly close in case you forget something. You can leave the cabin on 4 wheelers and we didn't even begin to explore all the trails. There are also some nice hikes with gorgeous wildflowers and deer galore. The cabin has satellite tv, phone, game system, and some games and puzzles. We didn't have time to use these (even the kids) as there were too many other things to keep us occupied. Finally, the owner, Ann was very nice to work with. I communicated with her primarily via email, and the responses were always quick and accommodating. I would recommend this property to anyone that wants an ideal place for a getaway in the mountains. It is definitely worth the cost. The pictures here don't do this place justice. It is much bigger and much nicer than it appears.

This cabin was awesome! We want to book it again for next year if it doesn't sell by then! Very relaxing, beautiful views, well supplied with everything from toiletries to Pam cooking spray! We were pleasantly surprised that there was a fire pit to cook some-mores! The cost was well worth it. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone who wants a great family summer vacation!
Owner response:Glad you enjoyed the cabin as much as we do. We'll looking forward to your return.

We were very pleased with the property. The home is one of the nicest we have rented through VRBO anywhere in the US. While fishermen prefer to keep such locations secret, we will state that Panguitch Lake provided the best trout fishing we have ever had in the West. The location is close to Bryce, Zion, Cedar Breaks, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. All are within a reasonable drive from the cabin. The area is also the center of a hiking Mecca. We are already thinking about a return visit.

This cabin property was beautiful, spacious and clean. Completely furnished with all the ammenities you could possibly need for a family of 8 adults and 3 small children. The view of the lake, especially at night with a full moon were breathtaking. Many activities to enjoy around the lake and mountains, we attended the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Panguitch the last weekend in June and the Shakespeare Festivities in Cedar City, Utah just 1 hour away. The owner is very helpful in answering questions and providing instructions to the property. We highly recommend this beautiful cabin...it was perfect for our families needs.

Our family of 4 stayed in this beautiful, spacious cabin to extend our Grand Canyon vacation. We took a few extra days to escape the crowds and experience hands on outdoor activities, most of which banned at the GC. We took a 5 minute walk down to the lake shore to skip rocks, and fish. We later rented a boat and fished all day, followed by another day of horse riding. The air was cool and refreshing. During the evening we snuggled up next to the beautiful rock fireplace and enjoyed the breathtaking views through the floor to ceiling windows on the cabins lake side. Taking this Panguitch Lake retreat turned out to be the best part of our vacation! The cabin was so nice, I would even recommend it for honeymooners or a romantic getaway!

Took my pre-school son and stayed for the week of the 4th of July. We built some good seating for the fire pit, and fished to our heart's content. Caught two 20+ inch trout, rode horses/4-wheelers and built some great memories. Hated to return to the San Antonio heat, and can't wait to go back.

We stayed in this cabin over Memorial Day. The ammenities are first class - everything is new. The views from the great room are breathtaking. We putted around on 4-wheelers, rode horses, hiked in the woods, and played in the creek. We plan to return soon.
