Welcome to Peteridge, a Landmark Antique Estate above Cunningham Pond in Historic Peterborough. The Carriage House is spacious, unique and extremely comfortable. Enter into the huge (25 X 40) living room with 42” TV and Gas Fireplace. The open kitchen features an AGA stove and Butlers Pantry with 2 huge refrigerators, 2 dishwashers and 2 sinks. The dining table seats 8 and is adjacent to the French Doors to the patio with gas grill, a great place for morning coffee or sundown cocktails.
The 2 master suites, on the 1st (queen) and 2nd (queen) floors, feature Sitting Rooms and Luxurious Marble Baths with Jacuzzi Tubs and separate showers. The 3rd BR upstairs has king or twin beds and its own 1/2 bath.
Cunningham Pond is very clean and lovely for fishing and swimming. Take a short walk down pond side path to the beach. Hundreds of acres of woods and fields abut the property. Available for short or long term rentals. As with most antiques, Peteridge is right off the main road to town (Peterborough) just 2 miles away. Pets welcome (additional fee).

Why the Owner Chose Peterborough
Peterborough is home to the oldest artists colony in the country-McDowell Colony and as such reflects a unique cultural atmosphere. Galleries, shops, restaurants and above all beautiful mountains and villages make this area perfect for a home base or vacation. Peterborough Players presents cutting edge theater as well as old favorites-(we have hosted a few stars you would recognize, but maintain their privacy) Some folks return year after year to play in the pond and enjoy "Our Town" (Thornton Wilder wrote the famous play about Peterborough whilst living here for a summer!)
The Unique Benefits of this Estate
Swimming in Cunningham Pond-rated as one of the most pure in the state, is pure pleasure. No motor boats are allowed, so the fishing and peaceful atmosphere is wonderful. Walk the path (10 minute walk) to the town beach for sand and sun or plunge right in from the nearby edge.
