Our family had a wonderful, relaxing time at Cape San Blas. This home was very comfortable and the newly remodeled kitchen is beautiful, it was better than the pictures! The property is well maintained and the owners and caretakers are very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again and I would recommend this property to friends. The beach is so perfect, dogs love it, too! The seafood from Triple Tails was fresh and delicious. I'd watch the sun set from this beach every afternoon if I could!

Christmas Getaway

My husband and I spent 3 wonderful nights here over Christmas with our 2 dogs. It was the perfect retreat from busy streets and work. The Cape is absolutely beautiful and very low key. The dogs loved walks/runs on the beach and it was so nice to be able to bring them with us. This house was perfect for the 2 of us with everything we could have wanted. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. The outdoor closet had a variety of beach toys and chairs. We loved this house and all its amenities and hope we can stay again.

Recommended for:Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

This is not the first time at this lovely home for us, and we plan on returning!! This home is so inviting, and so welcoming. My sister came with us this time and commented several times how she felt so comfortable, and so at home. Everything a person would need, is in this home. It is such a great location, and so close to the beach. The view is wonderful! AND everyone we ever came in contact on the cape, or in Port St. Joe were so friendly. The walks on the Beach are wonderful at any time of the day. And the sunsets are spectacular! Each time we have stayed, Helen has called to make sure we are ok and comfortable. We are very fortunate to have had a privilege of staying here and plan on returning for years to come.

We stayed in Gone Catchin for a short Easter vacation and it was perfect for our needs. It is closer to the beach (and water!) than many of the Gulf front houses and we could see the beach from our patio as photo shows.

Loved the house! All 5 of us had plenty of room. The house was in a great location and in a very quiet area. Just a few steps to the beach. The house was very clean, well stocked with cooking and beach items and just very comfortable. The owner was great to work with and answered all of our questions. Scallop Cove is near by and has many things you may need in a hurry to keep you from driving off the cape to the store. I would recommend this property to anyone. This was our first trip to the cape and we loved it. It is just breathtaking how beautiful it is there! We experienced many first and made many memories (and great pictures)!! We will definitely go back!

A Relaxing and Charming Vacation Home

This home is very well equipped and well situated on the Cape. Just steps from the beach and within walking distance of the BP Station. Fishing is pretty good and the beaches are pristine. No sign of the oil spill. A great place for dog owners. The home is clean and well maintained. The owner is very quick to respond to questions and easy to contact. We would recommend this home for anyone wanting to stay at Cape San Blas.

I would recommend Gone Catchin to everyone,very economical and not over priced,the owner was very nice and answered all questions and concerns before arrival. We enjoyed ourselves so much and the fishing was great! So yes, there must be something in the name of the place.It had everything we needed,we only had to buy a corkscrew to open our wine with,ha!!! But thats O.K.,Beautiful beach,very nice people everywhere,I miss it already! Gone Catchin is great!!!!

We rented Gone Catchin on June 20-27.It was our first trip to Cape San Blas and staying in your home was a fantastic experience. Everything was so beautiful and comfortable. We had eveything we needed. We cooked and grilled all week and never did we need anything in the kitchen that wasn't already there.WE both remarked so many times during the week how nice the decor is and what a great place it is. It was truly the best vacation both of us have ever had. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. It's a very special place and we can't wait to get back here. Donna and Roy

The best vacation ever! So relaxing, so much to catch up on. I read a book I've been trying to read for 3 months.Yes, I flew a kite for the first time in about 5 years. The house is so comfortable. I thought that I was at home. The beach is beautiful and the weather has been perfect. Hope we can come back for another. We loved it here! Terri and Lynn
