Mill Valley Guesthouse is an independent house located on a quiet and flat street in the heart of beautiful Sycamore Park neighborhood in Mill Valley. This cozy and sunny cottage is an ideal living environment for your vacation in San Francisco Bay Area, or perhaps your visiting family/friends, or even a short term rental while you remodel or find a house.
The 980 square foot living space is very comfortable for 4-5 people and the fully equipped house and kitchen will make you feel at home. The house is newly remodeled and is furnished for comfort, our bedrooms both have queen size beds and we offer a comfortable queen size sofa bed which can be rolled out upon need. Dining room seats six people with French doors that open directly into the garden giving you a wonderful view of the yard. The Kitchen is fully equipped for your cooking needs and connects to a very cozy breakfast nook.
You can bask in plentiful sunshine throughout the day in the large backyard surrounded by plants and flowers, or enjoy your breakfast or lunch on the deck & patio furniture, or simply relax on a bench while enjoying views of Mt. Tamalpais and listening to the birds.
The house is roughly a 10 minute walk to downtown Mill Valley where you will find lots of restaurants, shops, and a movie theatre and library. You can also take a short walk from the house to grocery shopping at Whole Foods or Safeway nearby. Aside from the backyard, for additional children's playground, you are 3-5 min walk walk away from two different neighborhood parks with lots to do with your kids outdoors. Gym and community center with pool is also a 5 minute walk. Bus stops are very close walking distance giving you mass transport access to destinations in Marin or San Francisco.
Living in Mill Valley you have the advantage of being in beautiful country setting while you are only a short 10-15 min drive away from San Francisco, 30-40 min drive to Napa and Sonoma wine country and 30 min away from Stinson Beach or Muir Woods. You also have access to a variety of hiking and biking terrain, and if you prefer sailing/boating Tiburon and Sausalito are only minutes away.
Living in Mill Valley Guesthouse for your vacation you have much larger space than a typical hotel room while you enjoy the amenities of a full house.

We have lived in Mill Valley for over 10 years and we have always very much enjoyed the quaint charm of this little town at the base of Mt. Tamalpais. As we both like having our friends and family guests stay over for visits, we decided early on having a vacation house in the Mill Valley would be a wonderful option, so we bought and created Mill Valley Guesthouse. It has worked out perfect for our guests. We've tried to create a comfortable and cozy feeling in this house and we are always working on making it better. We hope you enjoy your stay with us!
