Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1983
Here I am with my cute little nephew Tobias. He is three and a half and so much fun to hang out with.
Why the Owner Chose Ashland
I first came to Ashland in 1983. I was born in Austria and spent my formative years in Europe. So, when I got to town, I fell n love with the Railroad district because of its quaintness, history, and charm. I used to live in the larger house in front of the studio on 4th Street but now own a ranch out past Jacksonville. I've rented the studio month to month and about five years ago got the idea to turn it into a vacation rental. I have two cabins on my property in Jacksonville which I also rent out.
So, when my last renter gave notice, I jumped at the idea of fixing it up and listing it on VRBO.
The Unique Benefits of this Studio
It is so close to town and has such a good feeling about it. I like that you can just walk down the steps and a few blocks away to downtown. Makes you feel like you are in Europe!
