We were thrilled beyond words with this beautiful cottage, it couldn't have been more perfect for my 2 adult daughters and myself for a "girls" weekend. Steve is very accomodating and this cottage shows how much he loves this property, they didn't miss a beat on the decor and all the amenities. We visited the Wollarsheim Winery, a definite must, it was the winner of last year's Winery of Year award in San Diego!! Shopped in Lodi, so friendly and charming, climbed the Rock of Gilbralter, fantastic views also a must. We made all of our meals at the cottage and enjoyed the beautiful view and all the comforts of home. Thank you for a perfect weekend!!

Our family spent a week at this lake home and had a fabulous time. The home is immaculately kept, the property is very private, and the view is amazing! Our kids had a great time swimming in the sandy bottom lake right out front, and we caught several fish from the dock, including some huge catfish! We also enjoyed taking our boat out on Lake Wisconsin and campfires almost every night. The location is also close to the Wisconsin Dells and Devil's Lake. We spent one day at the Dells and several afternoons hiking and snorkeling Devil's Lake. It was a perfect lake vacation. Highly recommend this location!

We came back yesterday from a week at this cottage and didn't want to leave. If you're looking for a quiet spot on a lake with beautiful views and easy access to lots of boat exploring, this is a perfect spot. Our two boys (11 and 9) could have played off the dock all day but renting a boat opened up the whole lake which is vast and very cool with lakeside restaurants and sand bars to stay for a while. The cottage has a beautiful view from the large picture window and the deck. All amenities are great and the only thing we needed (and had packed) was a coffee grinder. Shallow water by the shore makes it great for wading or playing with smaller children. Thanks for the wonderful vacation.

July 2011 My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful week at Twin Cedars, a lovely cottage with a panoramic view of Okee Bay off Lake Wisconsin. The cottage is remodeled with all the amenities, including new kitchen appliances, countertops, bathroom fixtures, furnishings and coordinated decor. Steve, the owner, is a most welcoming host who greeted us upon arrival with a bottle of champagne, crackers and cheese. How nice is that?! We brought up most of our food and grilled on the ample deck overlooking the bay. Two nights we went to Anchors Away and Fritz's on the Lake, nice casual restaurants just a ten minute walk away. My husband wanted to fish all day, and he caught striped bass, smallmouth bass, sheepheads, blue gill, walleye and perch right off the dock. On weekends, there's lots of action on the water with boats, tubing, jet skiis, waverunners zipping by. Once Monday comes, things are very quiet. I liked that there are neighbors on both sides, but they are far enough away that your stay is quite private. From our house in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, it was a very easy drive of 2-1/2 hours. Twin Cedars was a perfect place to temporarily leave behind the frenzy of work and family obligations - truly relaxing. We hope to repeat the experience next year. Thanks, Steve.

This is the third property we have rented on Lake Wisconsin, and it was by far the best. Steve and his family are wonderful hosts, and the cabin and property are great. Everything in the cabin is first rate, and our only regret is we didn't stay longer!

Three of us rented Twin Cedars Lodge for the first weekend of October. The house has all the charm of a log home, but with modern amenities. There are two restaurants within walking distance and the view from the back of the house was out of a storybook. We made good use of the fire pit along the water. The weather turned out to be warm and sunny and the leaves were beautiful but even in cooler weather this would be great place to decompress. Look forward to coming back again next year.

We spent 5 days at Twin Cedars Lodge and had a great time. Our daughters are 10, 12 and 14 and they were well occupied between swimming in the clear sandy bottom lake, fishing right off the pier, sitting around the campfire, and of course enjoying the tv's in every room. We spent a day at beautiful Devils Lake and also a day in the Dells. We were hoping to spend a day on a pontoon boat and reserved one from Burhops down the road. Unfortunately, Mr. Burhop lost our reservation and gave our boat to someone else. I would recommend renting ANYWHERE BUT Burhops. The guy was pretty rude. Aside from this one minor glitch, we had a great vacation and would definitely go back to Twin Cedars. Steve is the nicest guy and when he couldn't be there to check us in, he had his brother meet us. He provided us with all of the information we needed and there was even a welcome gift for us. The cabin had that great rustic cabin feel and was so cozy we didn't want to leave. It had all the comforts of home and the setting is gorgeous. We highly recommend Twin Cedars!

Everything about our stay at Twin Cedars exceeded expectations! Steve, the owner, has thought of everything you could want to make your stay relaxing. Agree with the other reviews that the spotless cabin, the view, the lake, grill, fire pit, all the amenities of home are in this place. We were able to dock our boat right on the pier during our stay. Loved the privacy, kids really enjoyed tubing/skiing around Okee Bay and Lake Wisconsin. We will definitely come back!

We spend one week at Twin Cedars Lodge and had a great time. Steve the owner was very accommodating and easy to work with. The cabin was very clean and child friendly. We swam at the dock, golfed and boated during the day, and had relaxing fires at night. There is a great 9-hole golf course in the town of Lodi called Lakeland Hills Country Club. We rented a boat from Burhop's and caught a couple of Walleyes and White Bass. The cabin is comfortably located between the Wisconsin Dells and Madison with plenty of things to do. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who needs a relaxing week. I would definitely rent from Steve again in the future. The Russell's (Chicago, IL)

We recently stayed for a week in July at Twin Cedar Lodge and was very pleased at how nice, clean, comfortable and quiet (no close neighbors) it was. Owner Steve met us and showed us around , left us a 'welcome gift' and information about the area. He even called us about bad weather approaching (we were at the Dells) as we had our boat at the dock. Great location, right on the Okee Bay and between Madison and Dells area. Loved the deck with grill, fire pit, laundry, dock on the Bay.....everything!!

This cottage is very well kept. It was perfect for young kids to play in the water. No current, very sandy from just out past the pier to the shore. Beautiful view! Great lake for tubing, water skiing, etc. The place was very clean and well maintained. The owner was very pleasant to work with. We could not have been happier with the place. We would highly recommend the place (as long as it is not during the week we want it again:)

Me, my son and grandson stayed at the Twin Cedars Cabin on a weekend in April 2010...I can only say I cannot wait to return for another visit. The cabin is very clean, comfortable and the lake is steps away from the back door. The cabin has everything you need ...so all you need to bring is clothes, food and a toiletries. I can only hope the cabin is open when I can find time to get up that way again. I thank you Steve for accomidating us :) Betty L Des Paines, Ill

We spent a week at Twin Cedars Lodge this July. The property was beautiful – many happy moments were spent having coffee on the deck, enjoying the views and just plain relaxing. It is an easy, short walk to the bench at the end of the dock – a great spot to read the paper, get some sun, and watch the boats go by.The cottage has a warm, vintage feel, and is lovingly restored with all the amenities and updates - loved the fully equipped kitchen, wifi to stay in touch, and the flat screen TV with all the channels. Best of all was the amazing privacy – no close neighbors.Okee, just a quick walk away, offered up great restaurants, boat rentals and a greenway for walks at sunset. Lodi, just a few minutes away, offered up Weber’s Bakery – try the cherry and apple turnovers – wonderful – plus easy, convenient grocery shopping too.Practically, the washer and dryer were handy for washing swimsuits and towels after a day on the lake. The cottage was immaculate, with a comfortable bed in the master, and all the towels we needed. Our host greeted us with a basket of local goodies, information on local attractions and things to do, and the generous offer to help us any way he could during our stay. We’ll be back, and look forward to another stay at Twin Cedars Lodge.
