Welcome to "Thunderbird"! An exceptional, beautiful, comfortable, and contemporary modern home in Palm Springs. You will enjoy all the comforts of this modern James Cioffi designed home that is just a 5 minute drive from downtown Palm Springs. Walking through the front door you will be greeted by a beautiful spacious great room with vaulted ceilings. The modern marble-counter top stainless steel chef's kitchen has an eat in bar that is perfect for socializing while cooking. This room also features a gas fireplace with large ottoman for relaxing in front of the fire as well as a large 6 seat dining room table. Sunlight is in no short supply as the entire back of the house is floor to ceiling windows and sliding glass doors.
At the front of the house is the warm-toned den/tv room which is perfect for watching movies or tv on the 42" flat screen television. The outdoor "zen patio" just off the den is a wonderful addition to this room - enjoy morning coffee or a magazine while relaxing outside in one of the Adirondack-style chairs.
The spacious master suite and junior suite are located on either side of the great room and each have a full en-suite bathroom as well as separate private entrances to the rear pool area. The third bedroom is the casita that is located next to the pool. This private detached casita has it's own full bath and a mini-bar and is probably the most popular bedroom in the house due to its unique qualities! Each bedroom is controlled by separate central air-conditioning that allows each guest to control bedroom temperatures to their liking. Additionally, all our beds have luxurious Tempurpedic mattresses and high-end designer linens. All of our guests compliment us on the comfort of the bedrooms - we recognize getting a great night's sleep is an integral part to anyone's vacation experience.
At the rear of the house is our extremely private yet spacious, impecably maintained, desert-themed yard that includes a lawn area and the private heated salt-water pool and sunken salt-water hot tub. You can relax on one of the chaise-lounge chairs under the lanai or in the sun while you take in the unobstructed mountain views from this remarkable back yard and pool area. The large built-in stainless steel BBQ, also located in the pool area, is perfect for cooking up some wonderful meals. No need to worry about propane bottles, the BBQ runs off permanently-plumbed natural gas! Feel free to pick lemons, limes, and mexican limes from our citrus trees when they are bearing fruit and add these fresh flavors to your outdoor cooking!
Made for entertaining both inside and out, the house also features a slate-top built-in outdoor dining table next to the pool - this table (perfect for meals or just socializing) has a built-in lava rock natural gas fire pit in the center. Enjoy sitting round the fire to stay warm on cool winter nights or just have a fire going as an added design element at night!
We named our home "Thunderbird" after one of the large works of art that hangs on the wall in the Great Room. Unlike other homes you might find in the desert, we have a large collection of fine local art and framed photographs from our travels throughout the world that set this luxurious home apart.
We are most proud of the general "spa-like" feel that our home provides in every way. From the high-quality stylish place-settings and flatware, to the high-end linens, and even the ample supply of Ralph Lauren pool towels (not to mention the top of the line appliances and stunning views).... this house really has it all.

My husband and I just spent 5 weeks in this amazing home and found it very difficult to leave. In fact, this house is so amazing that we were able to spend 5 weeks in it without wanting for anything. Everything about this property is perfect. The layout of this home is made for entertaining, and my husband and I definitely took advantage of the second master suite and casita to enjoy overnight guests every weekend. We loved the fact that each room had its own bathroom and that the master suites were on opposite sides of the house and gave all our guests a little extra privacy. The beds are temperpedic and very comfortable. And somebody was thinking when they put in 3 separate air conditioning units...just saying! We also loved the kitchen! It is amazingly well-equipped: the appliances are higher-end, there is a wide assortment of cooking and table ware, and most importantly it is extremely clean. You won't find outdated or partially used groceries that have built up from previous renters (yuck) in this home, and we so appreciated that! The backyard space was wonderful. There are plenty of comfortable lounge chairs, the temperature of the salt water pool is perfect, there are lovely views of the mountains when sitting in the spa, the grill was large, and there is a very unique fire-pit table for cool nights, which we also took advantage of. AND unlike so many other properties in Palm Springs, there were no power lines above our heads, or above the pool, which we also loved. What more can we say, this house has absolutely everything! A large quantity of pool towels, games under the cabinet in the kitchen, a wine refrigerator, a laundry room, wireless internet, speakers to connect your ipod...we truly could think of nothing else we needed. Although this neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, it is also very near to downtown Palm Springs and lots of activities--really, it is the best of both worlds. What a memorable Christmas week spent in this FANTASTICALLY GORGEOUS home! The owners have poured their hearts and souls into making this a Zen-like retreat, with no detail overlooked. We were 3 couples enjoying every amenity with plenty of privacy. This kitchen is so beautifully appointed that it actually inspired one in our party who normally doesn't care to cook to create an unbelievable meal! We enjoyed many cool evenings & early mornings sitting around the fire-table enjoying each others' company and taking in the incredible views...This is a very special property...The decor is stunning, functional and extremely comfortable. The artwork is wonderful, insightful and playful. A lot of thought went into every inch of making this one of the most exceptional homes we've had the pleasure of staying. We're experienced travelors and would give this the highest marks possible (and then some)! Louisa, Chris & Wes---thank you for everything!!! We look forward to returning when we can stay longer!!!

This house is amazing! I had the privilege of spending two months (March & April) at 1037 Enamor, and it was exactly what I’d hoped for. Owners Chris and Wes have created a gorgeous, incredibly comfortable home in the most convenient part of Palm Springs. These guys know that the little touchpoints make all the difference. From the Tempurpedic beds, to devine sheets and towels, to the saltwater pool and spa, it’s beyond any rental house I’ve seen. My weekend guests were blown away, and depressed that I didn’t stay on thru May. At one point, I had family in town from the east coast for two weeks. The three+ bedrooms and four full baths were more than enough space and privacy for everyone. The layout of the house seems built for entertaining, allowing a seemless flow between indoor and outdoor living. Admittedly, the pool and fire-pit table are the big draw. Because of the house’s location, the views are unreal, and I felt guilty sitting inside at all. How could I not, given the massive HD entertainment system in the media room? I work in the entertainment industry, so I put in a good amount of time with movies and television. The wireless DSL kept me connected inside and out for two months. Perfect. This is THE house to rent, if you’re a discerning traveler. There are hundreds of cute mid-century homes that you can grab for less in the area, if you don't mind the “not-quite-right” experience. If you want something that’s flawless, this is it. But forget March and April. Those months are mine ; )

We do not want to leave this amazing, relaxing, ever indulgent home! So much has been thought of by the owners to make our stay completely PERFECT! From the luxury linens and ample extra pillows and bedding to the top of the line furnishings and appliances to the amazing design interior and exterior! The extras that might have been needed were also completely provided - super glue, tape, lotions, soaps, condiments! The location is the best - close to all downtown but a feeling of seclusion and peace! After coming to VRBO's in Palm Springs for the last 10 years the perfect place has been provided. We will forever come back! Owning my own vacation rental and travel business and using VRBO's worldwide we have found not one as perfect as yours! Thanks Chris!
