If you are looking for the local flavor of Jackson Hole, this is the place for you. A styled out mountain mural in the central room, large fish tank, mountain views and unbeatable location make this place a gem in the heart of Jackson Hole.
The central East Jackson location offers a 5 minute walk from Snow King (including the new Teton Boulder Rock Park), Center for the Arts, Brew Pub and the town square with all the local action.
You can easily walk downtown and bike to great trails and mountain biking as well.
Enter the yard through the gate made out of river-wood and enjoy the enclave lined with beautiful trees, and a central area for bar-b-q cook outs and hang-out space outside the house.
The house itself has an A-frame feel to it, and a cozy atmosphere with lots of light. The view from the main room is sweet view of Snow King.
The inside main room has a wooden floor with a really comfortable couch and chaise. The adjacent kitchen has granite counter-tops and a gas stove, fridge and kitchen supplies.
The backdrop of the living room is a giant mountain mural, inspired from the mountains of Frey, in Argentina.
There are climbing holds on the wall leading to the loft, which is complete with a queen size bed.
The bedroom has a queen bed and leads into the bathroom.
A large 45 gallon fish tank completes the atmosphere and I ask renters to feed the fish a pinch or two a day - and if not the neighbors can :o)
There is no television, but there is a lcd that projects movie sized (about 7 feet X 7 feet) show with surround sound stereo. Awesome movie watching experience!!!
This is a chill spot for people looking for a "locals" experience in a convenient, comfortable vacation rental. It's choice.

We had the good fortune to stay at this property last week. It is ideally located, a 10 minute or less walk from town square. The owner and the property manager were helpful ( the propane tank was empty and they had it replaced before I finished making the salad) and thoughtful-the fresh flowers were a nice touch. I am not a climber so the loft went unused. It is refreshing to stay in a place with personality-"funky" is better than a generic hotel setting. Also, the manager was very speedy in refunding the deposit through Paypal after our stay. Will definitely return to this property.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+.

My husband and I stayed here for a week in August. It was just as described -- very funky and comfortable and in a great location right at the base of Snow King and within walking distance to bars, restaurants, shops, etc (without being so close that it felt touristy, etc.). There were fresh flowers when we arrived and the rental process was very easy and professionally handled. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Jackson and will recommend it to friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

We had a great stay while in Jackson to do some climbing. The home is clean and very comfortable. Convenient location let's you walk to dinner downtown in no time. The loft is fun, but the climb could be a challenge for some. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Wonderful experience overall.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

My wife and I, our two teenage kids, and our very large dog absolutely loved our stay at this delightful little house in Jackson. It was cozy, no doubt, but with plenty of room for us all. The climbing wall to the loft was novel and a lot of fun. And the DVD projector and the comfy sofa made for many-a-night of "staying in". But you'll also want to get out some and enjoy being within easy walking distance of all that the town of Jackson has to offer. The size, the loft, and the lack of TV won't make this place for everyone... but for those looking for something a little different, you won't be disappointed.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

My wife and son (13) stayed here two nights. All features were available as described. Ended up enjoying the projector quite a bit and used Internet to enjoy netflix through laptop connection. Easy! Pros: Easy walk to town square. Love that! Unique climber-loft will have us commenting for years - our son loved it. Internet included - strong signal - good speed Nice appliances. Nice to have a full kitchen Acquarium was fun Didn't miss the tv. Projector was fun. Summer parking was a cinch. Great restaurant (43 N) nearby Cons: Warm during our stay. No AC. But nights were fine. Laundry was shared and therefore not available much of the time. Also small charge for use. But ok. Residence could use a little freshening up (power outlet covers, sofa cleaned, window screens, paint and a few other things.) We had a great time in Jackson and in comparison to prices during our stay, this was a bargain. Wife is picky and she loved it. We had a great time. Thank you.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

We stayed in the 1-bdroom with loft over the Christmas holiday and it was great. It is exactly how it is described (it is funky, with climbing holds up to the loft) but it was comfortable, convinient and was a nice space to hang out in. It is in a great location within a few minutes walk of downtown and snowking.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, pet owners, adventure seekers.

My husband and I stayed in this quaint cabin for nearly a week during ski season and had a wonderful time. The owner allowed us to bring our dog which made our stay more like a home away form home. The location was wonderful: just 2 blocks from the Snow King lifts, and few blocks from a great brewery to enjoy food and microbrews after a long day on the slopes. The kitchen was also well stocked of basic essentials and dishes, and we were able to cook in for a few meals as well. The town kept the streets plowed and clean, and I was even able to go for a few runs without having to drive anywhere. If I find myself in Jackson again, I will be sure to stay here again. Thank you!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

About the owner: I am the owner of Grand Dynamics, an international corporate adventure training company. My passion is rock climbing and outdoor adventure. I moved to Jackson in 1995 and love this place. I will be splitting time in California as we open up our new division there. Grand Dynamics offers group team building adventure programs and seminars all around Jackson. The photo is Climbing in the Wind River Range.
