Doing Everything
Besides the 2100 acres of beautiful forested mountains with elevations ranging from 2500’ to 5000’, you have water, water, water. The LAKE CLUB sits on the shores of Bear Lake - a 497 acre pristine mountain lake with over 13 miles of shoreline. Bear Lake Reserve has 7 miles of the shoreline. The lake offers canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. Rent a pontoon boat or bring your own boat. Water skiing, fishing, waterfalls to climb and islands to explore.
The Lake Club is a must do for all ages, with breathtaking views of the lake and mountains while relaxing on the decks and playing in the multi level pools with a slide. The LAKE CLUB AMENITIES include bar, restaurant, fitness center sauna, steam room, 20 seat movie room and plenty of areas to sit and relax.

Off property there are many choices of nearby great mountain towns with quaint downtown shopping, dining and sightseeing, whitewater rafting, the Blue Ridge Parkway and much more.
Doing Nothing
Relax at the cottage. In the mountains, the outside deck has always been considered the true living and dining area. This is the area that you will spend most of your time, relaxing while enjoying the fantastic views and the cool summer evenings. There are three connected decks that wrap around three sides of the home. From the Living Room, you enter the 28’ x 15’ screened covered porch with dining table and two lounge chairs in front of the stack stoned wood fireplace to enjoy the mountain atmosphere. The location offers one of the best cottage mountain views on property. The 35’ sun porch overlooks the creek and several small waterfalls only 30 feet from the deck. And what is a mountain home without a covered front porch?
FIRST STORY
Twenty foot vaulted ceilings in the living room and ten foot ceilings throughout. , large windows and double french doors with breathtaking views from every room. The furnishings are of high quality with some unique locally made pieces. The first story flooring is wood in the living area, dining and kitchen, tile in master bath and laundry room and upgrade carpet in master suite.
MASTER SUITE
Sink into the luxurious king size mattress with 100% Egyptian cotton linens while enjoying the 26” flat screen TV. Other items included telephone, dresser, armoire, alarm clock and 2 nightstands with lamps. The attached Master Bath has a double vanity with granite countertops. A large walk in shower (3’ x 6’) with tile surrounds. And a private water closet.
FAMILY ROOM
Relax and enjoy the state of the art entertainment center (42” plasma TV, Hd DVD, Sirius Satellite Radio, and 7 speaker surround sound and speakers on the covered porch) while stretching out on two full size custom made leather couches. A stacked stone gas fireplace will keep you warm on those chilly nights. Mountain crafted end tables with lamps, coffee table and glider chair.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is a gourmet delight with stainless steel Kitchen Aide appliances with all the needed utensils to prepare a great mountain meal. Granite Countertop and wood cabinets. Appliances include gas range, dishwasher, microwave, side by side refrigerator with ice maker and filtered water, coffee maker and toaster.

A 4 ft. x 10 ft. opening with plantation shutters offers privacy or nice view down to the family room and fireplace.

We had a wonderful time at Bear Lake. The house was beautiful, clean, and fully stocked with everything we needed. There is an amazing stream and waterfall that runs right next to the cabin. Our kids loved playing in the stream during the day and we loved listening to it at night. The outdoor fireplace was great for roasting smores during the cool mountain nights. In addition to a great house, the resort property was amazing as well. We had a great time hiking, searching for tadpoles in the lake at Mill Pond, swimming in the pool, and kayaking on the lake. All in all, one of our best family vacations to date!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We found the cabin and the area to be absolutely beautiful! The grounds are immpeciable, the roads can be a little trecherous past dark. The cabin has a very relaxing porch and is equiped with everything you need. We normally do not stay in community's like this, because we like the solitude of being away from other cabins. We however found this locatin very tranqil, quite and relaxing. The sky is absolutely beautiful at night. The gentelmen whom we encountered at the welcome center when you arrived and during our stay, were more than welcoming and willing to make suggestions. The only complaint I would have would be the folks whom work down at the club house were not very warm or friendly. We went down once when we first arrived and felt extremely unwelcomed and uncomfortable. We decided to go to dinner one night, we made a reservation but when we arrived again we felt less than welcomed, so we chose to leave. Its was much nicer to make dinner and have it on the porch at the cabin. I would definately return to the cabin. I also think you should fix the entertainment system to work for dummies. We had a very difficult time getting it to work and we were never able to use the television in the Master Bedroom, at all. All in all we appreciated the cabin very much and had a very calm, quite, relaxing stay. Thank you

just wanted to thank you for sharing your beautiful home w/ us in Bear Lake Reserve. It was so peaceful and quiet - a wonderful place to get away from the quick paced life back home and have time to relax...the amenities were awesome(Lake Club A++++) and the Bear Lake staff were so helpful and considerate...Golfing A++++ too!!!! we'll definitely be back...thanks again

As to the entertainment center operation, we have changed satillite providers and have new, clear instructions on use in the notebook labeled "Welcome to Our Cottage".
