A beautiful, 2 story, 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath mountain cottage with wraparound porch and deck where you can fully enjoy the mountain vistas and babbling creek running alongside. Twenty foot vaulted ceilings in the living room and ten foot ceilings throughout. , large windows and double french doors with breathtaking views from every room. The furnishings are of high quality with some unique locally made pieces. The first story Flooring is wood, tile and upgrade carpet
First Story
Master Suite
Sink into the luxurious king size mattress with 100% Egyptian cotton linens while enjoying the 26” flat screen TV. Other items included telephone, dresser, armoire, alarm clock and 2 nightstands with lamps. The Master Bath has a double vanity with granite countertops. A large walk in shower (3' x 6’) with tile surround and sliding glass doors. And a private water closet.
Living Room
Relax and enjoy the state of the art entertainment center (42” plasma TV, Hd DVD, Sirius Satellite Radio, and 7 speaker surround sound) while stretching out on two full size custom made leather couches. A stacked stone gas fireplace will keep you warm on those chilly nights. Mountain crafted end tables with lamps, coffee table and glider chair.
Kitchen
The kitchen is a gourmet delight with stainless steel Kitchen Aide appliances with all the needed utensils to prepare a great mountain meal. Granite Countertop and wood cabinets. Appliances include gas range, dishwasher, microwave, side by side refrigerator with ice maker and filtered water, coffee maker and toaster.

The laundry room has a full size washer and dryer.
Covered Screen Porch
In the mountains the outside deck has always been considered the true living and dining area. This is the area that you will spend most of your time relaxing while enjoying the fantastic views and the cool summer evenings. The deck is furnished with a dining table with four chairs and two lounge chairs in front of the fireplace to enjoy the mountain atmosphere. If you play checkers or chess you will love the unique table and chairs to enjoy many hours of entertainment.
Second Story
Bedroom 2
A queen size bed with a luxurious mattress with 100% Egyptian cotton sheets. The bedroom also includes a flat screen TV, dresser, nightstand, alarm clock and spacious closet.
Bedroom 3 / Loft
This bedroom was designed as a bonus room that kids and adults could have a separated space to watch the 26” flat screenTV and play games. The room is furnished with a queen size sofa bed with a trampoline mattress for extra comfort. Other furnishings include a dresser and coffee table with lamp. There is a spacious closet and privacy door. The bedroom has a 4’ x 10’ opening that looks down on the living room and fireplace.
Full Bath
The bathroom has a single vanity with granite countertops and a tub shower with tile surround.
Activities and Amenities
Offsite activities in the Western NC Mountains are too many to list with all the National Parks and Parkways, Historical towns nearby that offer unique shopping, restaurants, golf and much more. Bear Lake Reserve is centrally located within easy driving time to all the landmarks of the NC Mountains. But if you just want to stay on site and relax you have everything you will need to stay active or just relax on the porch and enjoy the cool mountain air. The core of on site activities is located at Clubhouse that is located on the shores of Bear Lake a 500 acre lake with 13 miles of shoreline.
Lake Club
The Clubhouse includes on site Activities Director with many programs for children and adults. A restaurant that has great burgers, sandwiches and gourmet dining with an expansive wine selection. A large bar and lounging area with plenty of inside and outside seating to enjoy the lake views, Multiple heated pools, hot tubs and a slide for the children. Fully outfitted fitness center with sauna, steam room and locker rooms with showers. State of the art 20 Seat Theater with stocked DVD’s or you can bring your own, Children’s play area, Library. A marina with pontoon boat rentals available, Kayaks also available. The Clubhouse is 5 miles from the cottage
Mill Pond Pavilion
Mill Pond Pavilion a few minutes walk from the cottage has an indoor kitchen and sitting area with a covered outdoor sitting area with fireplace, gas grill and two ponds stocked with trout (catch and release) Kids and adults of any age can experience catching fish.
Golf Course
The Golf course is a Nicklaus Design 9 hole mountain course. It is at an elevation of 4000 ft. and the panoramic views and beauty of the layout make it both challenging and a must see for its beauty. During the design stage Jack Nicklaus looked over the shoulder of the designer at the par 3 ninth hole and said it was one the most beautiful holes with its backdrop of a rock face cliff and the two lakes that cascaded down a waterfall from the ninth to eighth hole. The world class practice facility is a great place to tune up your game. Tennis Courts are located at the Golf Clubhouse. The Golf Course is 5 miles from the cottage.
Bear Creek Park
Bear Creek Park meanders through Bear Creek with fireplaces, tree houses, a large teepee, camping platforms include BBQ and picnic table and award winning trout fishing. You have to see it to appreciate the mountain setting. There are 15 miles of manicured hiking trails thru out the community that go from mild to advance. The park is 3.5 miles from the cottage.
Golden Farm
Sitting on the covered porch of the cottage you have the best seat in the resort to the meadow and amphitheater that has featured concerts and holiday fireworks. Fireworks and concerts are at the discretion of the owners for location and frequency.
