PU'U POA 305 is a beautiful two bedroom condo with unobstructed views of the ocean. Every morning you can drink your coffee and have breakfast watching the surfers catch the ever changing waves at the point by Princeville Hotel. On many days in the winter and spring you can watch from the deck whales splashing and dolphins jumping. The sunsets are always spectacular with views of Bali Hai in the background.
The condo complex is right next to the St. Regis Hotel and is walking distance to a couple of nice relaxing restaurants. However the kitchen and dining area are very nice, and with a great market only a mile away, dining in is always a great option. A short but steep walk down to the secluded beach offers one privacy and pure beauty. During the summers the water is calm and snorkeling is quite good. Hanalei and its beautiful beaches is a short 10 minute drive where shopping and eating in the perfect beach town is always fun.
The condo is minutes from the newly remodeled Makai Golf Course with is incredible views and only two miles to the Prince Course one of the top ocean view courses in the world. We hope that our condo has everything that will make for a great visit to the North End of Kauai.

We just returned from a 3 week family vacation to Hawaii in celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary, wrapping up week long stays on Kauai, Maui and Oahu. We have been very fortunate to have traveled the world, but Kauai has always held a very special place in our hearts as Lumahai Beach is where I proposed to my wife on our very first visit there back in 1984. Three children and 11 trips later (our 9th staying in a Princeville property), the Holleran's Puo Poa vacation condo has been the best accommodations to date, by far. The property truly exceeded our expectations...very well kept, beautifully decorated (especially the artwork!), equipped with high end furnishings throughout, and very open and airy with magnificent views. Whether on a trip to the other side of the island, or just a nearby visit to Hanalei Beach, it was always reassuring to know in the back or our minds that at the end of the day we would be returning to our truly luxurious Puo Poa accommodations. Kauai was our first stop, followed by oceanfront property stays on Maui then Oahu...but our three kids (14, 18 & 21) all kept mentioning the whole time how much more they had enjoyed our stay on Kauai, which I'm certain was due in very large part to our wonderful accommodations. We have found our ideal Kauai vacation rental, and look forward to staying here again on all subsequent visits. Thanks to the owners for sharing their slice of heaven with us!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Wonderful location and accommodations. No need to go anywhere else-owner has thought of everything you need here. Weather was beautiful-some light rains late at night. Easy travel to sightseeing and other beaches if you want but sitting on the beach below was about as good as it gets at sunset anywhere in the world. Hope to return someday. Had a teenager and college student with us-plenty of room.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Why the Owner Chose Puu Poa:
Nancy and I have been coming to the north shore of Kauai since we were married 25 years ago. We have traveled to many wonderful places for vacations but we feel no place has the scenic beauty and provides the laid back relaxation as the Princeville and Hanalei area. We love the ocean and this condo has everything that we were looking for, a spectacular view of the ocean and Bali Hai, close proximity to golf, and the world class beach in Hanalei. The condo is just minutes away from the Makai Golf Course with its beautiful 27 holes and a mere 10 minute drive to the Prince Course which is one of the finest ocean view courses in the world. But the clincher for us is the year round sunset views from our deck. Our hope is to spend more and more time at the condo.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Our condo offers something for everyone. Starting with morning coffee looking out at the surfers riding the ever changing surf on the point. For the beach lovers one can climb down to the secluded beach below the condo and sunbath or go out snorkeling. In the winter the water is rough so caution is needed when going into the water. For the golfers a short 3 minute drive gets you to the newly renovated Makai 27 hole golf course with its many ocean view holes. or a mere 10 minute drive to the challenging and equally beautiful Price Course. If relaxation is in order one can arrange a massage on the beach or go up to the Prince Golf course for both fitness and a nice massage. The condo also has a guest only tennis course. Just 10 minutes down the hill is the famed Hanalei Bay with its unbelievable beach and beach shopping village. Our condo is less than one minute walk to the Princeville Hotel( soon to be a ST Regis) and having access to their restaurants and lounges allows a change of pace from enjoying a cook out on the deck. However the most relaxing part of the condo is just sitting on the deck waiting for the sunset, spotting whales and dolphins, watching the surfers get in the last wave before dark. We truly hope our guests will enjoy our condo and hope they have a wonderful vacation on Kauai's Northshore.
