restaurants, Gainesville Marina is a full-service marina only minutes away, Lake Lanier Islands Water Park, Boat rentals are available from various vendors on the Lake, The Mall of Georgia, North Georgia Outlet Mall, and Chateau Elan are within easy driving distance, There are numerous golf courses in the vicinity.
Weddings and Other Events: This property is a great place to vacation or to host your wedding ceremony, reception, anniversary party, family reunion, birthday parties and other events. It works best for less than 75 guest and we can provide contacts for area party rental, caterers, photographers and so on. The house is on Lake Lanier but so close to the mountains that you are able to enjoy the best of both. There are beautiful leaf colors in the fall and the weather is great all summer long. There is plenty of water at the dock and a great place to swim and fish. There is a also a boat dock available for use.

We had a great time at this lovely lake home. It is on the north end and you feel like you are in the mountains. The leaves are gorgeous and the lake is so peaceful and beautiful. We completely enjoyed our stay at this home. It has amazing water frontage, a road that you can use to drive to the dock and beautiful views. The two decks were great for our party and the kids had a great time! There was plenty of room and the loft was perfect for the kids as they had their own space to hang out and play in. I have to give it at least one star because at least the issues we had did little to effect the kid’s vacation! They still had a blast. However, renter beware..... The house is not as described. The master bedroom is on the main floor. The on-suite bathroom door is trifold and does not close tight. The only other "bedroom" is in the basement. It does not have a window or a closet. The basement also has a large bathroom. This basement bathroom has a washer and dryer in it and a futon. This room (yes, this BATHroom) was explained to me, by the owner, as being the third bedroom. Uh-huh, you read that correctly. The futon across from a toilet is considered by the owner as a bedroom. The third floor is a large bonus room with carpet. There is no door, just stairs and you are there. The floors were dirty and stained. Also had a fire alarm not installed with exposed wires hanging in the ceiling. This room needs a little love and a lot of cleaning. The kitchen size is fine. However the only frying pans (2) were scratched and rusted and caked in something. As were the few other items available for use. This did not clean off. All the silverware had to be cleaned when we arrived because they were all sticky and gooey. There was no cutting board, knife, or strainer. Really, we don't expect wonderful items in rental but should at least have the basics in the kitchen, or it should state that. Wi-Fi was promised in the listing but was missing equipment (not replaced for a few days) upon arrival and never did work right. The owner had us call the service provider ourselves we were told that the service was the least expensive option available and the owner was warned it would not be reliable in that area. Because it was offered we expected to be able to stream movies on our device and the homeowner did not care this was a part of the vacation we planned, and told us most people chose to enjoy the lake, not watch tv. We did not get any deposit back, only a verbal reason about damage and missing items, which was inaccurate and never verified. She just kept (stole) our money. I am now knowledgeable about the insurance offered, I encourage everyone to check into it. (And I do have pictures and other adults to stand behind all these statements). I could still recommend this house but only if represented properly and at a correlating price. But not without insurance. And note that the owner does not operate in a respectable or fair business manner.Owner response: It is unfortunate this vacationer had a less than positive experience but we tried very diligently to make their stay as enjoyable as possible, taking multiple daily calls to stay to work with what they needed. This was the first vacationer that ever complained about the internet service and I offered to let her speak with them directly since they still claimed to have issues after I had spoken wit the Provider several times. Since their visit the house has been completely remodeled. The wifi has been upgraded to ATT uverse, there is brand new carpet, new paint thorughout and four brand new flat screen TVs. She was explained about the bathroom/futon combination ahead of time and told the loft was open. She was docked the deposit because some one in her party left a hole in the wall and they spilled a beverage under a bed and failed to clean it up. It rained the week she was there and while the wifi worked fine, it was not equipped for movie streaming live over the internet and described as wifi to access email, plus playing online games at the same time. This was also explained to her and I worked with her on several occasions to address what was causing the wifi to fail and finally the Provider realized that they were demanding too much data. We have not had this issue since the switch to ATT we are happy to report. We were more than fair to her and also took pictures of the damage caused by their party and have documentation from the cleaning company. In the three years we have been renting, this is only the second deposit not returned and hope you read the other reviews as well.
